  • Why does the X1 Yoga cost so much and what are the main benefits over something like the Yoga 910 (which I am hoping will go under $1500 soon)?

    • It's only $400 difference for the 910 i7 ($2599). But I'm guessing it's something to do with the WQHD (2560x1440) screen over regular FHD of the 910.

    • Yoga 910 doesn't appear to have active stylus capability. Also, the Yoga X1 can be had under $1600: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/270641 I think they've chosen a bling-ed out model to advertise this week.

Starting to realise that Lenovo have one "sale" after another. Basically most of their sales are just the standard prices.

    • Yep, back to back sales over the past 2 months at varying %/$ off.

Just fyi…I placed an order and during placing the order there was nothing mentioned that how much time it will take. However once the order was placed I was informed that it will take two months to deliver… Bummer !!!

    • That's terrible. I'd be calling them up saying I want it delivered in 2-3 weeks or you'll be cancelling the order.

    • I just looked at the products shown in this post and it does give you a time: "Ships within 2-3 weeks. You’ll receive your delivery approximately 5-7 business days after your order has shipped."

Still a long overall shipping time though.

A warning to those looking to buy and expecting it soon (ignore for those who are willing to wait 1.5 months+): I bought the other deal on the E470 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/282085). It says they would update the order status within 2 business days - didn't happen. I called them up and was told they are short on parts (probably because of all the orders from Ozbargain) and will only get them by mid-January. This pushed out the expected arrival to 3rd of February - significantly later than the initial arrival time of 9 business days (30 December). Poor communication on their side.

I warn everyone with Lenovo as a Business. We had a rep come in and tell us to buy the X1 tablets. Promised they would be in stock etc and easy to service if they got broken. 2 weeks later I get told they have shelved the X1 tablet series. The AUS store is seriously nothing like the US version in terms of reliability.

<Disclaimer - I am still salty with Lenovo.

Yeah I don't think ThinkPad X1 Tablet is ever on sale here in Australia. That business rep has no idea what he is talking about.
