  • Can anybody provide feedback on this? Particularly the monitor. Looking to buy one for my mother. Her eyes aren't great but she has an uncanny ability to see pixels on a screen (I have much better eyes and I had to look quite closely to see them on an all in one she saw recently)

    • +1

      It's 23" 1080p, you won't find higher pixel counts at that size.

      My mum use to use a pc, and she only uses it once every few months after I got her a tablet,is light and easy to carry up and down the stairs, chromecast/project it onto the TV screen and it can even be used in a bed on a tiring day.

      PC = restrictive to desk.
      Damage/sore back and eye strain

  • The PC is okay
    I have had these DOA before and Lenovo warranty is tbh difficult to deal with
    Make sure you have the unit in a vented area, speedwise theyre worse than a laptop as they use a T series Processor which is severely cut down

    As a standard PC theyre okay, I would spend less on a dedicated thin client and RDP for a business, but as a cheap internet cafe terminal, you can't go wrong with this combo

    As for anything more, buy a laptop for the same money with more portability and much better speed.

  • Thanks yáll. You're preaching to the choir. I've tried to convince her a laptop is better but she wants a big screen. And don't worry she also has a tablet. She has more gimmicks than I do. I ended up getting an asus barebone with separate monitor (that she picked). Thanks for the input though, much appreciated

  • I've got the m92 version with very similar specs. I connected it to two 24" monitors.

    The computer is quiet and breezes through Office and web. And that's pretty much all I use it for.

    I got the computer for $250. Secondhand monitors for $80 each. Not a bad setup.

    Get your mum a good cheap 24" monitor off Gumtree or eBay. You might find some cheap 27" too.

    Hope this helps.

  • Doesn't seem like great value for $799?
