When you say "genuine Aussie stock" - do you mean that it was imported into Australia from England (where it was made) - to be sold to the Australian market?

    • Of course. I mean not parallel imported from HK or somewhere. Bought from the authorised Aussie distributor.

      • ok thanks, I must admit that I'm unclear of the benefits to buying from an Aussie distributor. I always assumed that if I bought something from E.g. HK, then if it was faulty I would post it back to HK as part of the warranty process? (obviously this would be a little more costly than posting to you guys in Australia)

lifestyle store have it for $719.20 and they are authorised (I found them through Chord's "Locate dealer" screen):

    Free delivery too apparently.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I have created a coupon code 'mojosale' that will bring the price to $709. We have free shipping as well.

This would go perfectly with my new HiFiMAN headphones.

  • Apparently the very best portable dac you can get. I almost bought one but never got to try it first. I'm quite dubious on the benefits a dac can add to be honest. In my experience they are very subtle (nothing like an upgrade to headphones) but the reviews suggest this brings an obvious improvement.

I recently upgraded to the Mojo. I had been using a fiio x3 as a DAC, connected to my computer by USB and connected to a Burston HA-160 headphone amp. Substituting the Mojo made a difference that I found to be pretty significant. (Of course, differences in processing will be more evident on highly resolving headphones - I use ATH W5000s.)

It also bears saying that the Mojo is a very good headphone amplifier in its own right. Although the listing above refers to it as a DAC, its value relies on the fact that it combines an excellent DAC with an excellent amp in a portable package.

  • This is an amazing price from when it first came out although mojo has been out for a while. unfortunately not going to be a hit with the ozb community lol
