  • Almost all stores are out of stock of these.

    • Officeworks looks to be pricematching Harvey Norman so it is easier to get stock there.

    • i grabbed the last unit on boxing day :D

Just bought one from Fitzroy OW…they still have two left

  • +4

    Awesome mouse

  • +1

Thanks OP, bought for this price last week from my local OfficeWorks store.

  • +4

I have one of these somewhere, should use it…

    • +1

That's what I say about a lot of things cluttering up my house. Don't know why people downvoted you.

  • Very good one with this price.

  • +2

I own two of these. The older one (a year and a half old) has a malfunctioning thumb button and if you press it, it renders the mouse useless. I'd probably have to go and remove the switch or somehow disable it through software, but it's still disappointing as I bought it for that feature.

Logitech doesn't have any way to fix/replace it and it's out of warranty, so to me it's a paperweight :(

We'll see how my second mouse goes I suppose! There's a new stone-colored MX Master that looks great but Logitech's support really put me off purchasing another one.

A $170 RRP mouse has a 1-year warranty, that sucks! At least with my Razer mice they have a 2-year warranty (regardless of price).

    • I had no idea that was the RRP. I've never seen it that high. I got it at launch for about $100, plus $50 ebay voucher.

    • There's also a blue one on their site if that's your thing.

I keep buying Logitech because no one else does hyper fast smooth scrolling, but yeah, you expect more from the price. Well compared to what you used to get with the 3 years warranty and the near bulletproof peripherals they had.

      • +1

I absolutely love this mouse, don't get me wrong - it's the greatest mouse I've ever held in my hands! I'm just disappointed that their 'flagship' mouse comes with but a 1-year limited warranty, whereas any mouse from say, Razer, comes with 2-years.

I'd pay for a fixed-cost replacement or for it to be serviced somewhere but when I contacted Logitech support, every response was essentially 'Your product is out of warranty, too bad'.

I bought it for $120 + got a voucher, so I didn't pay the $170 advertised on their website - just wish there was some kind of way to fix my mouse without having to scour the internet for someone who has the same issue as me and try to fix it myself!

If you can get this mouse for $60, that's a steal - even if it breaks after 18 months :-P

        • Still reckon my old M950 was the best mouse I've ever held, MX Master looks pretty but there's a weird angle on the back for my hand. Though, still prefer that shape to the current G900 I have. At least now I get 2 years warranty for the 200 bucks I forked over..

One thing I know about Logitech, never ever pay RRP. Even when the on release you'll find a shop that has it for less. I think the G900 was at $200 as soon as it hit the shops.

Hehe I agree, I did buy another :p

    • Oh wow you are right, and that makes absolutely no sense coming from a consumer point of view.

I brought a G502 mouse from Logitech because my steel series sensei mouse died just little after a year and only had 1 year warranty. I was pretty pissed off because that mouse cost $99 and did my research and found that Logitech has great 3 warranty so brought the G502 http://gaming.logitech.com/en-au/product/g502-proteus-core-t…

Got the mouse tried it, too many sharp edges buttons in weird spots overall too gamey for me so brought the MX Master thinking it had same Warranty after reading this I checked and you're absolutely right 1 year warranty on a mouse that's more expensive than the G502 http://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/mx-master

That makes no sense unless the MX Master is known to break within the 3 year period.

      • Yeah it's a little bizarre. I've got Razer Deathadders/Naga mice lying around that have had quite a lot more usage than my MX Master and haven't skipped a beat in 5 years. They might be 'simpler' mice, perhaps? Less moving parts? You'd think that Logitech would have ironed out any bugs with their flagship mouse.

When I press my thumb button, it kind of locks in place and doesn't go back, it makes the mouse pointer do nothing and it is stuck in the 'gesture' mode until I rub the top of the thumb section to kind of fix it back into place. I took it apart and it didn't look like anything was bent/broken or out of place. I think I can disable the thumb button completely through software but that defeats the purpose of the mouse to me. So it's either the whole mouse doesn't work, or I disable the one part of the mouse I use consistently and have a dumb-mouse again :(

      • They've been cutting warranty on their new products. Best I believe is now 2 years. Well, the G900 is at least, and with a $250 RRP, I'd expect that is the best you'd get.

    • I got replacement switches for my G602's on EBAY…fwiw, not sure if they're the same switches or not?

  • Have two of these, one each for work and home. Best mouse I have ever used.

  • +2

40 days of battery life… My Logitech Marathon mouse (m705 maybe?) promised 3 years, runs on two AA batteries and after 4.5 years still reports charge at 75%. I use it at work every day and find it unbelievable but what can you do unless I'm somehow charging non-recharchable cells with my hand every day. Go figure.

    • Nice, the mouse will probably die before the batteries do. It might be a leaked prototype not meant for public knowledge yet…

      • +1

Probably, the batteries are normal duracell AA with expiry 2017 (from memory). I've used several wireless mice in the past with docks etc but this thing just keeps on going, it's nuts. It came with the batteries too.

    • It has a rechargeable battery and the cable plugs in at the front so this is not an issue.

Logitech mice vary in their battery life. M705 will probably outlive an oak tree. MX anywhere version 1: lucky to get 3 months from 2 x AAs. MX Anywhere 2 lasts 5 to 6 months with rechargeable battery.

    • I have MX Master. I've never seen close to 40 days. I get around 2 weeks.

But I don't use the switch on the bottom of the mouse to turn it off each day. I leave it on stand by. I don't know if switching it off will increase battery life.

      • The one I use at work for around 9 hours a day lasts until about 2PM on a Friday then I leave it on the charger until the Monday. Very good battery life in my opinion and it charges through micro usb port located where you would expect a cord to be on a mouse. This is ver convenient and for most people means you don't even need an extra cord on your desk because you already have one for your phone.

        • That's less than a week. If they're claiming 40 days, that's well under the claim.

      • Mine does. Charges once in 5 weeks. Uses ~9 hours per day on weekdays and 2-3 hours on weekends.

        • Do you turn the switch to OFF every time you switch off your PC?

Ever since brand new I've never had more than 2 weeks battery life, which is already twice as long as my old M950.

Could they have put a dud battery into mine?

        • @lostn: Yes, I do turn it off post work on most days.

    • I get around 2-3 weeks of battery life on mine with it being on standby all the time.

That's waaaay better than my MX Revolution which at one point required a charge on a dock which doesn't work all the time every 3 days.

    • I have the M705 , never changed the batteries, check them to make sure they are fine, but had it for years. I bought another one with Keyboard in the DSE Sales, the scroll wheel is totally different, too loose, a lot of people have found the same thing. The original is the best Mouse I've ever used, working on a fix for the new one. :-)

      • Re: best mouse, agreed. The batteries it comes with are non-rechargeable but who cares as it seems mine will last up to 10 years or something crazy like that unless they flatline one day. No joke, I can't believe it myself.

  • +2

Suffering that feeling when you get spoiled by an awesome deal and can never justify the higher price again…

$20 during DSE shutdown. Wish I got the second one cause it's a great mouse.

    • That's when I bought mine but at $40. For this mouse, anything under $70 is awesome.

  • +1

OP it might be worth mentioning that delivery is FREE if the order is over $55 as it is in this case

  • I got this for $65 during the DSE firesale.. bought too early..

    • ?

    • This deal is more than $65….

      • +6

He must be a finance major and takes inflation into account.

$65 back then is equivalent to $71.65 today :P

  • Good price

  • +2

Bought it from OW a couple of days ago for $63 as the price matched Harvey Norman (-5%). It was still $110 at the time.

    • +2

OW price beat is 5%, $63.84 people got it for, until they changed price yesterday.

Edit: Sorry I think you edited your comment from 10% to 5% just before I replied.

      • +1

I got it for this PM price the day after boxing day.

Good mouse but main gripe with it is that the forward and back buttons are on top of each other rather than in front of each other like on most mice so not as easy to use thumb to navigate. I didn't realise I was so reliant on them but I'm struggling to get used to it and it's slowing me down a bit. Also very very big form factor.

  • Does the "side to side scrolling" of the thumb wheel configure to the Left and Right arrow buttons? My computer keyboard has a faulty Right arrow button and that would help.

  • +1

That's a good price and I may be in the minority but after my 3rd logitech mouse failure and them weasling out of my warranty claim they lost me as a customer.

  • +2

If you purchased Coles Group $150 gift cards from the First Choice AmEx Deal or the Myer AmEx deal remember they accept them at Officeworks (easy to forget).

  • My favourite mouse of all time was the MX revolution. When it died the most affordable similar replacement was a Microsoft mouse. While it's been good, I really miss the Logitech. I grabbed this to see if it lives up to the legend.

  • Most logitech products were offered 2 or 3 years warranty. All newly released ones only come with 1-year warranty e.g. MX Master, MX Anywhere 2, Z533 Speakers.

I love my MX Master so much but the hyper-scrolling (the reason I bought this mouse) stopped working after 10 months. I got a replacement easily at JBHiFi, but now it's out of warranty :(.

    • +1

I thought that any replacement for a faulty product came with a brand-new warranty period?

      • Nah. Confirmed this with Logitech and JBHiFi.

        • +2

They lied. New item, new warranty.

$100k+ fines by the ACCC for consistent non compliance.

Ask for a manager next time and let them know their team member lied about your rights. If that dosen't work, contact head office or facebook them.

        • +1

          @This Guy:

Googled it but couldn't find any source of reference on ACCC. Can you link me to one? Thanks!

        • @willx:

Worked for a retailer who who trained their staff to avoid those fines.

          MSY is a prime example:

          http://www.kotaku.com.au/2016/12/the-accc-is-going-after-msy…

    • How easy was it for a replacement? My scroll wheel went bung and I (perhaps stupidly) fixed it myself and it's now stuffed again and the sticky pads underneath I removed to fix it so don't know how I'd go with a replacement if it's been opened and "tampered" with.

      • Call logitech support line. They will just ask you a few questions to confirm the issue.

They will then give you a support ticket reference no. Provide that number to the place of purchase for replacement.

I can obtain easily replacement request from their support for my MX Master, K800 combo and Z523.

        • Cheers. Will give that a try!

    • All Australian products are covered by 24 months. Return it for warranty and if they decline tell them you will forward to ACCC, see how quick they change their mind.

      • +1

Can you link me to the reference of this please? Couldn't find it on ACCC. Thanks!

  • bought it from JB rundle mall for $67.20 on boxing day. ( lumo customer gets 7.5% off of jb GC)

    • What's a lumo?

      • lumo energy rewards program

  • +1

would like to mention that it uses Micro-USB cable charging, which can take up to 5 minutes for a full charge which lasts a few days on heavy use. unlike other mouses that need rechargeable batteries. or mouses that have a docking charging station but can take 2 hours just for a full charge.

after using several wireless mouses this has to be the best. it's the most comfortable to use for every day use.

  • Anyone that purchased one, like I did, for $96 with the 20% off with eBay/paypal should make sure they claim too. I got ~$34 back, as well as the initial discount of 20%, so net result is a really good mouse for under $50!

  • Wow, this must be Kismet for me. My current mouse started to play up JUST TODAY, it's a G602. How does this mouse compare to the G602? Anyone know??

  • -3

    How is this for porn?

    • +4

If your hand is on the mouse you are doing it wrong

      • +1

        Not if you're ambidextrous.

  • +2

Thanks op. My Steelseries has been playing up for a long time and being holding off replacing it

  • I wonder if I can price match this with the Good guys for $67.20, then use my good guys $30 store credit to bring it down to $37.20

  • should i buy a 3rd one :(?

  • Love this mouse

  • Who else has had the scroll wheel issue and fixed it themselves?

  • So, how does this go at moving the cursor around the screen?

    • You can configure the sensitivity in the software.

  • why am i seeing this mouse atleast twice a week on the first page?

    • +3

      Cause it's the balls

  • pity I'm left handed :(

    • +1

Do you have to use mouse left handed? Because I know lefties who can play FPS on controller exactly the same as righties. They don't swap the sticks around.

I reckon it wouldn't take long for me to get used to using a mouse left handed (I'm a righty). If they made one.

      • +2

As a lefty I began using mice in late 80's and had to adapt back then to the point that I cannot imagine achieving my current level of dexterity with my left hand.

      • yeah mouse as lefty - write as lefty…(south paw)

i read somewhere they did have a left H version but stopped selling it… MS used to sell a mouse that had an interchangeable case on it that became left handed… i can do RH but its not as nimble …. and yes FPS is better as LH and I'm more accurate….

  • great bargain, thanks OP!

  • Probably the most versatile and ergonomic mouse for productivity. Not recommended for gaming due to low dpi and wireless design characteristics though. Currently using it using its unifying dongle on my desktop and BT on my laptop. Switching between devices happens in a cinch. Also, the unifying dongle doesn't need a line of sight at all like the previous dongles like that of G700.

  • Thank OP , ordered one with free ship.

  • I wish they'd put back the back/forward positioning and the scroll wheel from the MX revolution.

    • I never found the side scroll wheel in the Master very useful. In the few use cases where I need horizontal scrolling, it is slow as hell, and quicker to just press the middle click button and move the mouse left and right.

      • I find side scroll really usefull on spreadsheets created by lazy/inept accountants who don't have a clue about pivot tables.

  • score!

  • ok

  • The Logitech G700s is currently $41 + 10 p&p (US) at amazon , might be one worth considering if you need more buttons.

  • Price is back at $99. Please update. Thanks.

  • Still waiting. Ordered on 31/12. Currently on back order.

    • My ETA is Tuesday 17th.

      • Just checked mine, no ETA, just saying on backorder, still.

        • STILL on backorder.

  • Wow, finally on its way.
