Who do you call if you haven't been receiving catalogues…. Tryed Cole and woolworths they say its up to the distributor. Our whole street hasnt received any for about 2 months!!!

    • -3

They have these things called computers, tablets and smartphones. I haven't received a catalogue in years.

      • +1

It's a bit more difficult to fold a computer up and stick it into your back pocket…

    • +3

The easiest way if you've already tried coles and woolies is to give Salmat a call. They handle heaps of catalogues for companies. You can call them on 1300 725 628.

Edit: Or you can fill out their online form and put "Would like to receive catalogues" in the issues box @ http://www.catalogue.asn.au/complaint/

    • +6

Why don't you get in touch with Salmat and distribute the catalogue for the street - get some exercise and make some pocket money at the same time. They normally leave an insert in letter boxes looking for people,

      • +1

I thought about this but i think you spend 70% of the time involved sitting on your bum sorting the cataloges into groups. (A friend did it).
I did cantact salmat once because we dont get any junk mail at all. The walker shortcuts our culdesac (see them do it all the time.) Salmat was shocked and got it fixed for 2 weeks then went back the way it was.

    • +5

I use the Lasoo website/app and make shopping list every one or two weeks. Very efficient and highly recommended.

      • Same here

    • Consider yourself lucky. I tried for a decade to consistently stop local newspaper & advert spam delivery.
I can post a photo of the sign under my mailbox that finally got through to these flick and litter deliverers. It's bold and probably can be read from 1/2 kilometer away. Thankfully no junkmail for ages.

2000 FlyBuys with $30 Spend on Ultimate Kids, EFTPOS & Ticketmaster Gift Cards

Wow, 2000 Flybuys points is equivalent to $10, and the Ultimate Kids gift card can be used at JB Hi-Fi. That's a great deal!

    • Agree. Are there any activation fees or other fees on the EFTPOS gift cards?

      • +3

$5.95 purchase fee applies to EFTPOS gift card, I've added to that to the OP, so $4.05 profit but I'm not sure if there are $30 EFTPOS gift cards or if it starts at $50 or $100.

        • Thanks for your reply. Still a 13.5% discount if $30 cards available.

Ultimate kids an effective 33.3% discount.

        • +5

          @squeeb: it's a 25% discount because you're getting $40 worth of goods ($30 gift card + $10 flybuys) having spent a total of $30.

        • @iSamurai:
I see where you are coming from.

I did my calculation based on the net cash outlay of $30 ( gift card) less $10 (refund from Flybuy points) as a percentage of the card value.

        • Can confirm they have the $50 as the lowest denomination eftpos card. I paid using the Coles gift card which I got during the Amex cash back! Net profit (excluding Amex) is ~15% off :)

    • +2

I wonder if I can stack that with the spend $50 in one transaction in each of the next two weeks to get 4000points ?

      • +1

yes you can. I tried successfully a few times

        • +1

How did u do it? I've never got previous bonus points deals to work with gift cards before.

        • +1

Do you have a time machine? The deal doesn't start until next Wednesday!

        • @serpserpserp:
Make your week 1 purchase between Sat 31 Dec 2016 and Sun 8 Jan 2017 (please note you have 9 days to shop in week 1)

Make your week 2 purchase between Mon 9 Jan and Sun 15 Jan 2017

So I could use these for week one, but I have a better plan.
week one (this week) will be 2 x $30 itunes cards ($48)+ milk = $50
So I can grab these gift cards on week two.

well that was the plan, ruined by small print (as pointed out by @flipsahoy below)

        • +1

          @supabrudda:
works with vodafone recharge if needed

      • Shit, they're making me spend $70 in one transaction each week for 2 weeks to get 4000 points.

      • +2

The fine print in my email says it excludes gift cards and tobacco.

        • Ah trust you to read the fine print & spoil my plans! oh well Did someone say pizzas are one sale???? :-)

    • Only one time 2000 FB points will be credited per flybuys card.

    • Nice timing for me I can convert my Coles giftcards from the Amex Choice liquor and Myer deals to Visa for free.

      • Can you use Coles gift card to pay for Visa prepaid card?

        • I'm hoping so.

        • @tonka:

I remember someone tried and failed, please let me know if you can. Thanks.

        • @divious: worked went through self checkout. Only prob not enough cards instore and no $100.

        • @tonka: only one 2000 bonus points per household anyway.

  • Thanks heaps, some goodies there for my list 😁

Playboy spray + bacon, all I need

    • Both @ the same time? They don't stand a chance, like flies to poo. With all that ammo you'll be forced to go from BuySexual to Bisexual. Or is that TrySexual to Trisexual?

Take those to a mosque, just don't get caught or you could end up in jail for a year.

  • So effectively $20 for $30 value gift card which can be used at JB? That's insanely good! Assuming you will use the flybuy $s

    • No there are purchase fees for the card so -$5.95 and a possible $50 minimum

      • The EFTPOS cards only come in $50 and $100 denominations - so is it 2000 flybuys for the $50 EFTPOS Card?

And where can I see the actual catalogue? The link only shows me this weeks catalogue..

      • +5

Only the EFTPOS card has a fee.

Offer: Collect 2000 bonus flybuys points when you spend $30 or more on Ultimate Kids, EFTPOS & Ticketmaster gift cards. Just swipe your flybuys card at the checkout.

Offer valid at Coles Supermarkets, (excludes Coles online, Bi-Lo and Coles Express), subject to store availability. When purchasing EFTPOS, a $5.95 purchase fee will apply in addition to the value of the gift card. To qualify for this offer you must present your flybuys card at the time of purchase. No rainchecks. Bonus points can only be collected once per flybuys household. flybuys privacy policy applies. Standard flybuys terms and conditions apply and are available at flybuys.com.au

        • Good to know, thanks TA

        • Hang on…
It looks like you can only buy one card.
"Bonus points can only be collected once per flybuys household"

        • @King Tightarse:

I knew there must've been some kind of catch…

        • @krazek:
          The question is -
          Do they actually enforce it?

        • +4

          @King Tightarse:

I would imagine this restriction would be in the system…. I guess someone can try buy 2 GCs with the same Flybuys card and see if they actually get 4000 pts

        • +4

          @King Tightarse:
I'm just gonna say, anyone with just the one Flybuys account is missing a lot of ongoing opportunity.

        • @krazek: The deal will be over well before any points arrive. It normally takes a few weeks after the deal finishes for the points to post.

        • @JIMB0: Last time similar promotion,2000 points arrived the next day evening with base points.Pretty sure it will be the same,one-time 2000 pts per flybuys card.

        • @Neoika: Was that for the Only1 Visa card promotion?

When they had the Coles prepaid MC deal with 1000 points per card it took nearly 2 months for the points to post.

        • +3

@JIMB0: Bought EFTPOS yesterday, got the 2000 bonus points today.

        • @tonka:

So if my son and i both have our separate cards, living at the same address, we still can both get the bonus points? the "once per flybuys household" worries me

        • @bonz:
i'd say it would only work for 1 of you if your accounts were linked… if not, i doubt they would enforce it

        • @leeroys_dad:
my son signed up under a separate account. Just not sure what their definition of flybuys household is

        • @bonz: if it worries you just make sure you clear any points out fairly quickly. Beyond that they wont be calling the feds :-). More than one account dtops them tracking your true spend.

  • So the Coles starter kits are just normal price? Anything special about them?

  • I miss when this deal would have the savings and be arranged into isle categories.

    • Feel free to do it and post.

      • haha you're funny. Like that would happen.

    • +8

      Aisle

  • +1

As always ty top job TA!

  • Does anyone know if you're already on coles $20 prepaid and recharge from the 4th, do you get the 7 gb? Or is it for first time starters only?

  • +3

Coles Prepaid 4G ZTE Shout is, in fact, Optus Zip. Both are ZTE A110.

The only difference is the colour. Shout is white, Zip is black.

    • ,

  • +1

Nice. Voda kits still on sale. Needs some to rotate with a bunch of my Optus kits

  • Just bought the $30 Ultimate Kids GC. When I go to check the balance on their site I get "Invalid Card Details"…. I've heard that sometimes these cards don't activate properly, should I be worried?

    • +1

Go back to Coles and get them to fix it?

    • +1

Make sure you fill in the right info, quite a few series of numbers on the card.

      • Yea my bad, was putting the wrong number in…

Anyone got their bonus flybuy points yet?

  • +1

Regarding the Ultimate Kids gift card deal, I received an email from FlyBuys asking me to activate this offer.

    • Has anyone received the same email?
    • Does this mean we need to make the purchase after activation of this deal in our account?
    • No,not necessary. If you read it carefully,it did not say"you must activate the offer before purchase".

      • Ok, I suspected so. It's unusual as to why they added the offer as something to activate, as opposed to an offer to just make us aware of.

        • So if they ask you to activate does that mean you get 2x2000 points? Kinda regret that I activated the offer through my email.

  • anyone tried buying an EFTPOS gift card with a Coles gift card? I tried today with a physical gift card and was not successful, not sure if it was related to me splitting the payment.

    • You can only buy third party gift card with the Coles giftcard.

      • I once had an anal checkout staff putting both hands over the eftpos terminal when he saw my coles GC, i was buying about $30 worth of grocery and a bunnings GC, i argued that the system WILL accept gift card as payment since i'd done exactly the same thing at other coles, but this clown would not let go of the terminal, he yelled out for a supervisor who was just as anal about it, needless to say i dumped the whole lot of grocery right there

        • I seriously don't know why they make such a big fuss about it. Bunnings belongs to the same group as Coles. It's not like money is being spent at another business.

        • @nightelves: They'd actually make more money as Bunnings has a higher profit margin than Coles (EBIT of 10% vs 5%).

      • the EFTPOS gift card is a third party gift card though?

I guess some staff in Coles are more fuss about it then others. When the Ultimate Kids gift card was on special last time, I bought quite a few of them with gift cards without problems.

    • I had the same issue with split payment. I think if you have enough balance on the Coles gift card then it'll process. It worked for me a couple months back.

  • the 2000 points from buying eftpos will attract fee $5.95 so nett profit is just $4.05?
    meh kind of deal

  • Does anyone know if the 30 dollar voda starter kit can be used for any 30 dollar prepaid mobile plan? thanks!

  • How long does it usually take for the points to credit? Thought it would be instant, or at least overnight, but still haven't received them yet.

    • 2 days for me

      • Yep just got my points too. Thanks!
