I have the money, but not the time

        • I have the time, but not the money.

        • @anthonettex: i have neither the money nor time

        • -1

          @djmm:

I have the PS4, money and time but no interest in this game.

        • +2

I have a PS4, money, time and the interest. Thanks OP!

        • @djmm: But you have the PS4, right?

        • +1

Both of you guys should met

      • I dont like overgrown rats

        • My cat does though. Finds them delish.

    • +2

Was hoping for a good PS4 console deal

    • -8

Why the (profanity) did I get downvoted?

      • +2

Probably for not having a PS4. That's my guess.

      • Nobody wants to vote you in twice.

    • I don t have time,money and Ps4,so…

  • +10

What?! That was a quick price drop. Hope they do the same with ff xv, hanging on patiently. :)

    • I paid 79 FFS!! It's a great game tho. I won't buy FFXV at the current price so I am with you.

      • +1

Good thing you bought it on a credit card with price protection riiiiiiiiiight? :D

      • +1

FFXV Steelbook Special Edition for $59 at JB Hi-fi.

        • Out of stock from Hornsby JB

        • Kind of strange how they made another steelbook edition just for JB, I have the real 'deluxe' steelbook edition and the art looks much better than that and it came with a lot more DLC.

This is the one I got (from Amazon not EB :P)

          https://ebgames.com.au/ps4-215184-Final-Fantasy-XV-Deluxe-Ed…

        • +1

@Agret: If you have a link I'd be interested, I just installed the FF15 and tried to use the codes of the game I bought at EB games … Both codes were already used … F*** them and their unwrapped games

    • I'm amazed how quickly FFXV pricing dropped (at least for a USA copy). Launched at $60 usd and 3 weeks later was on sale for $35usd

      • -

      • +2

Square Enix/Ubisoft games are notorious for price reductions post launch. Never buy at launch unless you get a limited/special edition, the normal game will inevitably be cheaper and a few of us might not even play them

    • FFXV at my local EB is $57.

  • +9

I finished this last night. Good price for a good game. Those familiar with ico and sotc will feel right at home, newcomers will definitely struggle with the dated game design choices. Once again Target leading the way for competitive game prices.

    • +1

Have to agree, I was pretty pissed off with Target over their GTA V scandal, but Titanfall 2 and Ratchet and Clank for $37 and $29 has made me pretty happy lately

  • +9

Nice. I know I was right to not jump on that gamesmen deal :)

  • Awesome timing, just grabbed a Pro yesterday :) Thanks OP!

  • +12

    Heavens to Betsy, meh backlog….

  • -3

I don't have a PS but thanks for the post OP.

  • +7

The backlog is real, this only adds to it. Thanks, I guess. Haha.

    • -6

Dont buy it, save $39. Its the ozbargain way.

      • +11

Must buy all of the games.

      • +7

The Ozbargain way is you buy as long as the price is cheap enough.

      • +5

The Ozbargain way is lose money buying crap you won't use.

        • -3

Must be all the alcohol. Buying a game for $40 then not playing it stupid.
I mean the reviews arent that good, it will be free for psn subscribers sometime this year. If you dont need it now then just wait. Spend the $40 on a PSN subscription.

        • +5

@elzilcho: that's like hoping to win the lotto. They mostly release crap games to subs.

        • Sounds like my Steam library with games gathering dust.

        • @elzilcho: Good luck getting a AAA game for free, they haven't even released Knack/Killzone which were practically launch titles and have near zero resale value at this point.

  • God dammit. Just got it from Gamesmen two days ago for 50.

    • me too ffs

      • +2

Just don't buy your smashed avocado tomorrow morning.

  • +3

Nice that was quick! I hear the sales were poor unfortunately due to massive bugs and camera angle issues. Hopefully they fix it with a patch soon

The other complaint was that the game feels and plays like a ps2 game, something I personally don't mind.

Great price nonetheless I'll definitely get it but right now busy with ff xv

    • game feels and plays like a ps2 game,

When I hear that I think it's going to be slow. I think I will have the same sinking feeling I had when I saw Tekken II on PS2 after playing it at the arcades and then I saw how slow it was on PS2 :|

But I haven't played it and surely this game is worth getting just to see a giant cat take a shit. Haven't played it ;)

    • +4

I played the game day one, and there were no massive bugs that I noticed. Camera was only an issue in tight areas, otherwise, didn't have too much of a problem with it.

Sales for TLG are better than ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, so it's done reasonably well. I'm sure Sony were hoping for more, though.

Feels and plays like a PS2 game? That's a harsh criticism. Possibly hyperbole. It feels and plays like a Team ICO game, which may not be to everyone's liking, though I'm happy with it. Lighting, physics, and environment are all current gen, barring the occasional low res texture. The animation of Trico is significantly ahead of its time. No game has ever dynamically animated an animal this well, and none will for a long time, because it's damn hard! Seriously done well.

Any case, it's a brilliant price for the game! I enjoyed it tremendously, and it will be one of the first games I play again when I eventually get a HDR TV.

    • TBH I think its the best game on the ps4. I finished it in a couple of sittings - it's rare a game holds my attention like that these days. It's got problems sure but I feel something like the Witcher 3 also had glaring issues (90% of the quests use that horrid detective mode).

  • Great price. Gonna have to get it.

  • Do target keep the copies sealed or remove the disc from the case?

    • generally remove disc from case so as a collectors item.. no deal as a i must have it… deal!

    • +1

On their Black Friday games sale, all 3 games I bought were sealed behind the counter, and he started breaking the seals as he was scanning them. I asked him to get new ones to keep them sealed, and he said it was against store policy. I was very confused.

      • +1

Don't they do that so they can put the sticker/seal over the case to show they've checked the game had a disc (and the right one) in there for dodgy refund purposes?

        • -2

Yeah, 'cause with Target, as soon as you break their own red seal - you can't get a 'change of mind' refund any longer. So silly.

        • +3

@BradH13: You cant return things they can't resell. And they can't resell used games. Pretty simple.

        • +7

@ScruffTheJanitor: EB Games would argue with you on that one. Haha.

      • -3

        That's weird.

If it's to do with return policy, if it's still sealed when you try to return it they can obviously verify it's never been opened. And if it's been opened you won't have the red sticker, so they don't have to accept your return.

They don't lose anything in keeping it sealed.

This just saved me the bother. Now I won't bother buying any games from Target.

    • Just ask the staff at the counter for a sealed copy. They once told me they would open and display empty cases on shelves and leave some sealed in the drawers if shelves already have enough empty cases on display.

  • Wow awesome. Even secondhand on eBay goes for more than 50. Definitely get one for the Ps4 PRO

    • Been waiting for a game to max out the PRO, looks like this'll be the one.

  • Great deal, wanted to get the steel case edition but that's literally double the price.

  • +1

Damn I just ordered it online for 54 :'(

    • same here, luckily ozgameshop have a cancel button :)

      • My order from Ozgameshop was already shipped :'(

  • Well that is definitely a tempting price.

  • +1

Knew it! Definite buy for me.

  • Any other good deals op?

  • +1

Bought this for 79 when the game came out. Luckily I didn't bother to open the seal package so can return it tomorrow. Thanks for saving me $40 op!

  • OMG

  • Not my luckest day, got it last week for full price :-(

Please note: this is a game that's both unique and beautiful, but some people(like me) might find it boring and lack of things to do.

  • 45 bigw right now

  • +4

It's been barely less than a month, truly an unbelievable price.

Meanwhile 1st Party Nintendo games released years ago are still $59-69.

  • +1

Let's see if ebgames will price match without a Fight

    • Jb Hi fi in Essendon matched it.

  • +1

    Damn!

Moral of the story in the past months

    Don't buy anything in release

You will get it for even less in a month time

    • I think people en masse are beginning to heed that advice

    • Only for games that don't sell.

I doubt you'd find a CoD or GTA game discounted in less than a month. Or anything by Nintendo.

      • COD was discounted a month later if I recall correctly

  • heard the game graphics, control and cameras are shit. thats why it's on sale?

    • I thought the graphics were wonderful. Camera was fine, though in certain areas, it was annoying. Controls were typical of a Team ICO game.

Final conclusion, if you've ever played ICO or Shadow of the Colossus, you'll be perfectly at home with this game. If you enjoyed playing ICO, you'll love this game.

      • I didn't enjoy those games but understand why people like them. I get annoyed easily by things you have to be willing to forgive with Team ICO games.

How am I going to find this?

        • +1

You probably won't enjoy this one either tbh…

        • I didnt like ICO at all but I did love SOTC. I really enjoyed the Last Guardian - it's a bit of a mish-mash of both.

  • +3

This price has now been updated on the website!

  • +2

Price is now live on their website. Just placed an order for click and collect.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Managed to order one before they ran out of stock.

  • +1

Please update: out of stock for online orders

  • Well price matching at EB it is, then.

    • I tried earlier this morning. EB Games wouldn't price match it for me :(

      • +1

Depends on the EB, I think. Some of them are just pricks.

  • definitely picking this up if they have any left in store….. now … when will FF XV come down to $39 as well ;)

  • For those who purchased online, can you let us know if/once Target have notified you it's ready for pickup? Just curious to know how long it takes.

    • From my previous experience, click and collect order is sent from their main warehouse and not pulled from local store stock so it took a few days before I could pick up (previous Uncharted 4 deal).

      • Depends on the store stock level. If there is stock at the store, they will use the store stock first before stock from the warehouse is sent to the store. That's why sometimes if you online order at night, it can be ready for pick up the next day at your local store. This happened for my Paper Mario Wii U order.

    • +1

Ordered mine at midnight online and I just got the text now saying I can collect it.

  • Three sealed copies left behind the counter at Plenty Valley this morning

    • Does the sealed copy has any brochure or manual (instruction) in it?

      • Nope, just the disc.
