  • I got D7 from centrecom on boxing day 2015 in this price. Amazing the price hasn't changed since then.

I think these are ring superceded by the VR series

  • Anyone using these on the FTTH NBN? I have an old iiNet Bob2 modem (using it as a router as NBN is FTTH), anyone able to comment on how much of an improvement would I expect to see with the D9?

    Thanks

You don't need ADSL modem for FTTH NBN. What you want is a wireless router.

It is uncertain if it will deliver a performance benefit. If you have a large number of people in your house, have a local server and stream content wirelessly then possibly. You could test the performance by running speed tests from the same laptop connected to a network port on the modem and wirelessly from the furtherest point away from the modem.

If distance is an issue, then a second wireless access point at the other end of the house might deliver the best performance improvement.

    • Instead of a D9 you should buy a C9.

It's the router-only counterpart to the modem.

You may also consider the ASUS RT-AC68U. It is cheaper to buy it from MSY than it is to buy from Futu with their inflated ebay pricing.

  • I have the Archer C9 edition (does not have DSL) and its on DD WRT

    Running well with open VPN.
