  • $1000 on dell factory outlet got me a 256gb 8gb FHD XPS12 about 3 years ago..

This seems sub-par by comparison. I guess it's got a longer warranty, but seriously, if you're not in a hurry I'd keep an eye on DFO and you'll get better specs and keep an extra $300 in your pocket.

    • That is my plan. Waiting for the next great bargain on a XPS13, ebay sale is a let down really.

3 years ago, AU$ was in much better position. I remember buying i7 ultra book in $550 but now things are gone damn expensive and really hard to find good quality laptops under grand.

      • Regarding the exchange rate, yes that may have affected things. I havent got a feel for that.

  • Needed something like this urgent and this was a great pickup, thanks :)

  • anyone have any experience with dell ebay in getting win 10 pro upgrade with the machine?
Win 10 home is not compatible with work systems.
Anyone know how much the win 10 home to pro upgrade costs once you have the lappy?

There's a couple of refubished XPS 13 i7-6500U 8GB/256GB QHD on the outlet for $1359 at the moment.

    Great deal

    • How much is that version at RRP? Is it current or older CPU and does it have the Killer wireless? Like that it has QHD screen. Hopefully they will get some more on the outlet soon. Probably a better deal than this one here?

  • Could someone please tell me if it is possible to replace the hard drive in this laptop without voiding the warranty? If so, what type of SSD does this one have (Sata/M2/other)?
    Thanks in advance. :)
