It shows in stock at Zapals also.
        Can you better the price?

        • Thank you for your reply. you know, the margin on electronics are super small. This is the best price we can offer currently, but once has lower cost, price would be lower too. (¬_¬)ノ

@Leftdrop: I respect your openness Leftdrop and value your contribution to Ozbargain over the years.
Sadly the deal is not good as other online retailers and therefore I'll give the deal a negative vote because it cannot beat the competitors price.
Maybe have a chat to the supplier and have them refund the difference to you and wear the cost in the meantime to turn this deal around?

@Leftdrop: Appreciate your effort, but please:

Post when you have a bargain and not just for advertising purposes.

Looking forward to seeing your next deal.

Honestly if you had done a bit of price research and come up with a real bargain price before posting on here it would have increased the creds for your store (Tmart) and had a potential of pulling some sales.

why not buy the dual bay one for $25.5?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/132057492358

    • Everyone else on ebay sells it for more than twice that price.

      Why is that?

that is overwhelmingly low and for relatively a lot of feedback too.

This is Ozbargain not oz rip off.

ebay is much cheaper: US$17.99 ebay

You must be getting rip off by the supplier or this is a age stock.

Dude local stock + local warranty VS eBay China (shipping time + warranty) isn't the same comparison.

      • China Warehouse ( Super Saver ) is local stock?

        • Ah you're right my bad. Tmart website couldn't load before. Apart from the price difference, the rep/this store seems legit.

    Updated.

Thanks all guys, we checked with suppliers, the price could be lower to US$19.89 when our orders over 100, please use the coupon code: THANKSOZ while checking out. Hope our votes would be honest with your guys help. Sorry for the trouble to ozbargain and you guys.

I have revoked my negative vote as the price is well within reason and I consider the product at that price a good deal.
      Good work Leftdrop!

Thank you very much! Have a good night!

        • If ebay seller able to sell for US$17.9 + their selling cost on ebay. you should be able to match.

        • +2

@LoveBargain15: Not every company can turn over stock to warrant a rep to discount it to match across the board.
Companies also don't allow reps to do this as then their products can never have a decent margin of profit on each unit.
They make them to make money.

I get what you mean about eBay fee's etc but the seller on eBay could also be the direct manufacturer or a direct partner of them ie family, friend.

Leftdrop did get it discounted, and yes there would also be room for a small profit in there but without a profit they have no business.

maybe next time they'll check the lowest price before posting the bargain to get a better response, but as the price has been dropped and the rep has listened to the Ozbargain community to the best of his/her ability/reach then I won't give them a hard time.

@ozy: Really appreciate your words, Ozy.

  • Anybody know which chipset these are using? ASMedia?

  • +4

Be warned, I bought the 4 drive version and it didnt have enough power (12 volt adapter) to power 4 drives simultaneously.

This was confirmed with Orico support. What sort of designer makes a 4 bay dock that can't power 4 drives!

1 drive the power shouldnt be a problem, but my confidence in the Orico brand is low after that experience.

    • I was thinking of getting a 4 bay one too. Cheers for the warning.

  • do you need the Power Adapter ?
