  • Good for those who want QFF points and aren't eligible for the bonus points on the ANZ QFF Black! Otherwise the ANZ QFF Black is better.

    • yeahhhhhh, I guess… I just really hate paying the annual fee

    • -4

The ANZ QFF Black gives only 1 point per $1 on the Amex though whereas this is giving 1.5.

      • For the AMEX it's 1.5 points per dollar spent
For the VISA it's 0.75 points per dollar spent

Both applicable to the ANZ QFF Black.

      • Not true. ANZ QFF Black also gives you 1.5 per $1.

However, even if true, do you think you'd get an additional $250 worth of Qantas points by earning an additional 0.5pts/$? It's definitely possible, but I doubt I would.

        • Oops you're right, and 0.75 for Visa:

          Copy/pasted:
          Frequent Flyer Black Rewards Points
ANZ Frequent Flyer Black American Express
1.5 Qantas Points2 per $1 spent on eligible purchases

I have this card and was convinced it was 1 per $1 for Amex, and 0.5 per $1 for Visa.
Not sure where I thought I read that!

  • Wait for the 75k VFF for $150 pts I'd say

  • +4

NAB Shareholders can get the annual fee waived

    • +1

Minimum 500, $15,400 of shares at close

      • +1

Lol, that's quite a lot of "deposit" just to get the annual fee waived.

  • Amex deal is probably better for those who intend to travel within Australia within next 12 months, you get 110K FF pts and a free return trip anywhere in Australia. Fee is around $400 though.

    • Which card are you referring to..? AMEX Explorer?
It's not really 110k FF points (due to the conversion). Doesn't include a return trip either, but travel credit instead.

  • Don't see many fee free credit card offers anymore on the premium ones

    • +2

Westpac is first year free til 30 January if you're a customer.

      • Thanks for the tip! Can I sign up for a savings account one day, then sign up for credit card the next to avoid the fee?

I see there is a $5 monthly fee for the savings account so I'll have to remember to closes it after 1 month.

  • Anyone know if there is a min income requirement?

    • +1

Obtaining a CC isn't just based on ones income, obviously helps though.

As long as you show you can support the min limit for a premium card of 6k you'll be right.

      • Okay thanks, just checking as I could only get the 50k ANZ deal. Thought there may have been something similar here.

  • Is this an identical deal to the previous NAB QFF offer?

    • Only difference is a later end date for the offer closing. NAB credit the bonus 75 k points promptly, I got mine less than a month after I met the expenditure criterion .. as a shareholder the annual fee waiver was also implemented immediately and no fee ever accrued to the account. Very positive experience all round. .. 😊 .. !!

  • Don't forget

    0 % p.a on purchases
    FOR 15 MONTHS*
0 % p.a on balance transfers with a one off 3% BT fee FOR 15 MONTHS*
    Apply by 22 January 2017.
    Minimum monthly repayments required.

  • "Offer commences 23 December 2017."

    Awkward… Deal not yet started?

  • If you have the NAB rewards card - can you have this one also ?

    terms state ..

Offer is not available when closing/transferring from another NAB credit card account or in conjunction with any other NAB card offer

but opening a new account is neither of them right ?
