Kathmandu Emergency Shelter - Red $7.00 (Clearance). Free Pickup In Store or $17 Delivered.

640

Clearance on emergency shelter at Kathmandu. Cheap at $7 for pickup and weighs only 310 grams. Dimensions 183cm x 250cm, sleeps 2 and comes with 7 metre cord.

Reviews are exceptionally favourable, for example from Big Mac who gave it 5 out of 5 stars -

"Last week I returned from everest, whilst I was in the death zone with my entourage we became trapped by avalanche. The only thing that save all of us was the Emergency Shelter, the shelter saved us by giving us clean water and oxygen rich air. The squad was very tired so the fourteen of us pilled into the shelter. The final heroic act of the shelter was morphing into toboggans for all of us, so we could slide down the mountain. What a great product."

Legendary product, no?

As for me? Great backpack stuffer for an "in-case emergency".

Set one of these up in Sydney and list it on Domain for $1.5 million.

Then sit back and wait for the profit.

      • You'd get $2.5m if you add a few strip LEDs and a solar light ;)

        • +2

$5M if you can see the Opera House when you peak outside.

How does it give clean water and oxygen rich air? That review has got to be fake.

    • I'd like to know how it carries 14 in toboggan-form.. or did they send it back up the mountain to collect the rest?

How does it give clean water and oxygen rich air? That review has got to be fake.

      Whoooosssshhhhhhhhhhh…………..

    • The real question is, how will you ever find out how it functions, unless you buy one?

I kinda feel if you wanted to give it a bad review, you would be dead and therefore incapable of posting a review.

Charge $7 per night and you're good to go!

      • Or get an inflatable kiddie pool and charge $8/night.

        Water views
        Swimming pool

Also, wake-up service included and water bomb them from your kitchen window.

brought one, perfect for my 1 year old who is still crawling, will use like a tunnel.

  • So it's basically a lightweight tarp with ends sewn together and a piece of rope?

    Sold.

Reminds me of the time I slept under the stars with nothing but an emergency blanket (aka glorified al foil). Something I will never attempt again.

  • Cheap tent for camping

    • Have fun with the mozzies :)

$12 at Kmart for a proper beach shelter.
$15 for popup variety, which may or may not be simpler to setup.

      • This is the $7 hilarity variety though. They don't have that at k-mart

It'll impress her even more when you tell her she'll have to do her best tree impersonation for you to string it up properly.

  • Can some mountain hiker tell me whats the 7 metre cord is for? Cheaper than i dog i guess?

    • To tie between trees to keep the triangular shape. Either that or for easy dragging, or easy relocation during midnight nature stops.

  • With the price of housing, general cost of living and few attainable well-paying jobs if you weren't born into the right family, this would actually make a perfect home, especially for younger generations such as myself. Sadly, and inexplicably, they're not legal to live in. :(

    • Move to Melbourne. Flinders Street is where it is at for the moment. No one will move you on. :D.
