Thanks to psterio:

This is an excellent powerbank and charges quickly both ways. Even if your device does not support QC2.0, this is still better than the older 10,000mAh model as it charges much quicker from the wall. It's also a much better shape (longer and less fat - so much more like the form factor of a phone) for putting in a pocket or small bag.

So this is 'Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2', it's thinner than the original (Xiaomi Mi Power Bank) and importantly has QC 2.0. Not to be mistaken for the the 'Xiaomi Mi Power Bank Pro' which has USB-C and is slightly thinner again. This power bank does support QC in both directions as mentioned

Specs:

  • 14.1mm thin with Aluminium Alloy housing
  • 10000mAh Li-poly Battery
  • 18W Fast Charging
  • Supports Bidirectional Quick Charge 2.0
  • Input: 5.0V—-2.0A, 9V / 12V
  • Output: 5.1V—-2.4A, 9V / 12V
  • Multi-layer Protection
  • 130 x 71 x 14.1mm
  • 217g

    don't forget cash rewards!

  • Thanks Hamza!

Are these charged in AUD or USD?

    Thanks!

    • You can choose either. There is an option to change currency to USD or AUD on main site or in the cart in the top right corner you'll see:

      Ship my order(s) to
      Australia , USD

Works out a little better paying in USD if you have a credit card that doesn't charge forex fee, otherwise can pay in AUD for not much more.

  • does this also come with a usb-c cable? am i restricted to just buying the pro if i need usb-c?

    • Would a micro-to-C adapter work?

Don't buy from Bangood. After 3 months today they told me the item I ordered is not in stock and will not be. This is after delaying the order and promising to ship soon. So don't get tempted by the prices.

  • Bought 1. Thanks Op

Too late! Out of stock now

These tards advertise 7-20 days delivery then change it to 20 "business" days. I ordered late December and haven't received this yet.

Soooo 20 days delivery is just a trick easy of saying 1 month or 4 weeks delivery?

factor in Christmas and New Year

      • So what? They don't celebrate christmas in china, where it is being shipped from. By the time it even got to Australian soil, I doubt it'd take long to get to me.

  • Does anyone know if these can be taken in carry on luggage for flights?

    • +1

Yes you can, never had a problem keeping these in my carry on going through security and using then in transit. Also most carriers prohibits you from storing power banks (or any equipment with a lithium battery for that matter) in your checked luggage.

But as a rule of thumb, always check with your carrier before arriving at the airport =D

      • That's a good idea! Thanks heaps mate

    • i'm getting error on the checkout page: https://hostr.co/VSC0Rcax494m. Apparently it is because it is a battery?

      • That's correct that it's due to being a battery but you're on GearBest.com not GeekBuying.com. GearBest won't ship batteries to Australia anymore.

    Still available here.. for cheaper..

      Cannot ship to Australia?

      • Very sorry, you're right. My bad. I jumped the gun. I should be in bed.

  • looking for the pro on special :(

  • Does the Pro have USB type C for input only? Is it fast charge in both directions like this Power Bank 2?
Not sure which one to get! Using it to charge iPad Air 2, iPhone 6s, Axon 7. Any tips on which would be better?
