Cheapest price yet for the Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2 10000mAH. Comes with Bi-directional Quick Charge 2.0, allow 7-25 business days for shipping, available in both black and silver.

Thanks to psterio, a reminder/explanation:

This is an excellent powerbank and charges quickly both ways. Even if your device does not support QC2.0, this is still better than the older 10,000mAh model as it charges much quicker from the wall. It's also a much better shape (longer and less fat - so much more like the form factor of a phone) for putting in a pocket or small bag.

For anybody confused about Xiaomi powerbanks, there are three 10,000mAh versions:
1) The original 10,000mAh powerbank which is short and fat - does not support QC2.0
2) This one, designated version '2' which is taller and thinner (slightly thicker than the original 5,000mAh) - supports QC2.0
3) The 10,000mAh 'Pro' version, which is identical to this one except has a USB-C port instead of micro-USB

Specs:

  • 14.1mm thin with Aluminium Alloy housing
  • 10000mAh Li-poly Battery
  • 18W Fast Charging
  • Supports Bidirectional Quick Charge 2.0
  • Input: 5.0V—-2.0A, 9V / 12V
  • Output: 5.1V—-2.4A, 9V / 12V
  • Multi-layer Protection
  • 130 x 71 x 14.1mm
  • 217g

That would be the pro for nearly twice the price.

      • Does QC2 still work if you use a USBC cable?

Is the both-way charge+discharge functionality actually useful?

Has anyone seen any deals on the Pro?

        • QC 2.0 isn't dependent on cable. Although it pumps a fair amount of power through it so you don't want to use a cheap one.

USB C cables should be fine, but you'd need an adapter.

  • Thanks! Almost pulled the trigger with psterio's post, but held out. Maybe I finally will with this deal.

  • has anyone shopped with banggood before? did the product actually arrive? how long did it take?

I've used Banggood heaps. Usually good service. Just don't expect it to be here this week. But it will be here. Never had a delivery not turn up.

    • I got this from the last deal and it took about 2 weeks for me. I've ordered a couple things from banggood and it's always been around 2-3 weeks.

  • the link above shows that the price has crept up to USD 19.89?
    no dramas.
just want to make sure i'm looking at the right product.

there's a coupon code in the post

  • i think someone said:

    3) The 10,000mAh 'Pro' version, which is identical to this one except has a USB-C port instead of micro-USB

only number 3 model can charge your phone while it is being re-charged from the wall.

    • My original Xaiomi Mi 10,000 mAh from like a year ago could do that.

    • yeah I would also like to know if all Xiaomi powerbanks support pass-through charging now

      • +1

        They always have.

        • Yeah, my 16,000mAh one from 2 years ago could do this.

  • great price hamza

I'd bet my hat that a comparable local deal shows up for this same device in a shorter amount of time than it takes to actually receive a banggood order.

Still waiting for my delivery ordered 23/12/16

I had my BG power bank order cancelled 3 weeks ago due to Customs. Might be worth checking with the BG rep to see if they'll ship to Aus.

    • +1

      Really?
      What was their reason?

      • +1

Australian Customs rejected it. Sometimes they come through though.

        • Nothing to do with Oz Customs.

          Maybe at the other end.

        • Did you have tracking on your package? I've been waiting for mine since early December and it still hasn't arrived.

        • @jackspratt: It has everything to do with Oz Customs. Why else would they contact the store and say that they've rejected the package due to it being a power bank? Furthermore, many of the postal companies are refusing to send them to Australia as well. Banggood is/was the last Chinese seller on OzBargain to be successfully sending power banks to Australia without issues.

        • @Clear:

If goods are seized by Customs/Border Force they are required to issue a seizure notice. Have you heard of any, or seen any evidence of such?

          EDIT

Further, Oz Customs does not have the power to "reject" packages.

        • @jackspratt: They're not seized. They're returned to the seller.

    • did you get an automatic refund? or did you have to chase BG up?

      • +1

        Automatic with an email.

  • Just noticed the size looks a lot bigger then the pro.

    • +3

      Non pro = 130 × 71 × 14.1mm
      Pro = 128.5 x 75 x 12.6 mm

      • My Pro looks a lot smaller then the video on the link. My pro is smaller then my phone and the video on link looks a fair bit bigger.

How many charges would I get out of this for a moderately-used iPhone 6? Doing a 3-week cycling trip and we're contemplating if these are worth the weight.

    • The phones are around 3000 battery aren't they? So I am guessing around 3 full charges.

      • 1,810mAh according to a quick google. So is it just bank capacity / battery capacity? 10000/1810 = 5.52 charges.

        • Basically yes, the process isn't 100% efficient but theoretically it should do 5ish charges.

        • +1

Phone battery's are 5v, the battery bank is rated at 3.85v. So it should be more like (10000x3.85) / (1810x5) = 4.25

    • With these kinds of packs, the mah rating is basically equivalent to what it can put in your phone battery. Your iPhone 6 (when new) had a capacity of 1800mAh, so I'd estimate 4 or 5 charges from this thing.

Cheers guys. Probably would do the trick, but if we're staying in accommodation nightly a smaller unit might be better to save weight.

  • Says the coupon could only be used 500 times. Seems the deal is expired.

  • now it says, the coupon can only be used 500 times :/

  • I read on another post that battery items from banggood are stopped from being sent.

  • Expired!!

  • damn!! missed out

  • Hopefully shopping square has a local one. My Sony 4700mah is not enough

  • +2

The 10,000mAh 'Pro' version, which is identical to this one except has a USB-C port instead of micro-USB

That is not true at all.

  • Noooo, expired, I had it in the cart and was ready to go but go distracted answering calls at work.

  • Coupon expired for me too but I still bought one - extra couple of bucks meh whatever. Still a pretty good price. I have the USB-C version and I love it.
    Thanks OP.

  • Well that was quick, went to a meeting and now its expired :|

  • starting to get pissed off from these guys. they wont refund me at all they keep asking the same questions over and over. I still havent gotten my order which was placed on 8th last month

    • Bummer, kinda glad I missed out now…

  • For the record, my power bank arrived safely today. No issues with customs.

    • What was ur order date?

      • Same day as the deal was posted, 16th January 2017.

        • Oh wow I've been waiting since the 23rd of Dec

          @Dezeption:

          That's frustrating.

I'm quite happy with the speed of the delivery. I went with the cheapest shipping and no tracking, although they still provided a tracking number and it was accurate with the package delivery. For reference if you want to compare, my tracking as per AusPost (formatted for appearance):

03:18pm Tue 17 Jan - Received by overseas carrier
09:20am Thu 19 Jan - Processed through facility
08:50am Wed 25 Jan - Arrived at facility in destination country
          01:16pm Fri 27 Jan - Delivered
