Xiaomi Mi 10,000mAh Power Bank 2 w/ QC2.0 $26.40 Shipped @ Shopping Square eBay

1260
COMMIT20

This is a really good price for this great powerbank and I've just picked up my second one via this deal! They've previously been $24.90, but were shipped from overseas (and took about 4 weeks to arrive). This is located in Sydney and should be delivered within a week to anywhere in Australia.

This is an excellent powerbank and charges quickly both ways. Even if your device does not support QC2.0, this is still better than the older 10,000mAh model as it charges much quicker from the wall. It's also a much better shape (longer and less fat - so much more like the form factor of a phone) for putting in a pocket or small bag.

Available in both black and silver.

Previous best price (shipped from OS): https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/284856

For anybody confused about Xiaomi powerbanks, there are three 10,000mAh versions:
1) The original 10,000mAh powerbank which is short and fat - does not support QC2.0
2) This one, designated version '2' which is taller and thinner (slightly thicker than the original 5,000mAh) - supports QC2.0
3) The 10,000mAh 'Pro' version, which is identical to this one except has a USB-C port instead of micro-USB

  • Great deal. I'm onto it.

  • +1

Point 3 doesnt the pro also support fast charging both ways where as the non pro can only fast charge one way to the target device?

    • +1

According to the specs here, the fast charging is bi-directional.
      http://xiaomi-mi.com/power-banks/xiaomi-mi-power-bank-2-1000…

    • +2

The Pro is also 12.8mm thick, whereas this is 14.1

    • +3

This supports QC in both directions. I can verify this as I have both the version 2 and the original one and this one charges much faster (in about half the time or less) as the original.

  • Can I carry on this on my flight to china? China Eastern airlines (serious question)

    • You should be able to in your carry on luggage.

      • Haha,you are funny :)

    • yes you can as long as its in your carry on and not checked luggage

      • I don't know why you are negged.
You are right. I just flew to china and they say I can not use it.

    • -2

Carry on, but they won't let you use it on the flight

      • If you're allowed to bring it on, why can't you use it?

        • +1

IDK, when I flew back to china last year for spring festival they said you're not allowed to use USB power-banks on-board, but they were fine to bring.

        • @fleabag:
Thats pretty weird. can use electronics but not a battery charger. Wonder what their reasoning is

        • @Pyrock: crappy Chinese powerbanks, you the eBay special 600,00mha,i guess they think they're less dangerous if not in use.

  • +1

It was 24.90 last time on shopping square's website without the ebay sale. These phony ebay sales kinda suck =/

    • +2

Was it because it was coming from overseas?

    • +3

Yes, I noted that in my post. I also purchased it at $24.90, however, that was shipped from OS and took around 3 - 4 weeks to arrive. This should arrive in under 1 week.

  • So far I'm not impressed by their eBay service. Mines a few days overdue and was also sent without tracking via auspost.

    • +2

Hope it arrives soon. I'll keep you guys updated on when mine turns up.

    • Do they mark the package as li-ion, road-haul only?

      • Sorry I have no clue

      • I'd be concerned if they didn't!

      • +1

Arrived today, i'm not sure if this helps but the delivery packaging only specified address details and name (note I bought it from SExpress via their apusexpress2 eBay page)

  • Got one! Missed out on the black unfortunately :(

  • Nice! Thanks OP. 88% of stock sold already. Black sold out.

  • I just bought 4 yesterday… And they were shipped today… Sigh

  • +1

"This item is out of stock."

  • Got a silver one; I had been looking for a good power bank at a good price for a while now, this fills that requirement.

  • +2

Pretty much pinpoint on the eBay listing sales history at 19.46 when the ozbargain avalanche began. Must be atleast 80+ by my counting

Pity there was only 25 likes..

    • I looked at the same thing heh.

  • +1

dang it. hope they restock. whats the next best deal around?

    • Not as good of a deal, but the old 10,000mAh original Xiaomi powerbank is still on sale for the same price, I think.

    • Back in stock now FYI. (Thanks Alzori for reporting it)

      Deal highlighted.

  • +1

    Dang it, out of stock.
Is this the same powerbank on Banggood?
    http://www.banggood.com/Original-Xiaomi-10000mAh-Both-way-Qu…
If so, they have 10% coupon so slightly cheapper, not by much.
    Can anyone confirm?

    • Yep. Appears to be the exact same bank. Where would I find the 10% coupon? Thanks!

      • right underneath the price on their website.
Remember that the shipping from Banggood will be longer than compared to the above deal from ebay.

        • Ah it is too. Thanks. That's true I might wait around and hope for a restock if not I'll just wait!

  • Damn. Good deal. Hope they restock!

    • Back in stock now FYI.

  • +3

this is back in stock in both black and silver.

  • +1

$43.11 (after discount) for the pro version: (is that a good price?)
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Xiaomi-10000mAh-Both-way-QC2-0-Qu…

      • +2

        Yeah but…

FREE Economy delivery from outside AU

        Item location:
        Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Estimated between Mon. 30 Jan. and Tue. 21 Feb

Not worth the $3.32 saving, in my opinion

  • I'm after a deal on the Pro version. Slightly thinner. Only disadvantage (If it really is one) is that it's USB type C for charging. Not that it's a big deal.
Anyone have any bargains on the Pro?

    • The Pro is 1.3mm thinner, pretty much as negligible as it comes. If you have a USB-C device, e.g. Google Pixel, get the Pro, if not, I'd get this version.

      • Would having a USB Type-C device even benefit from the Pro? The USB Type-C port on the Pro is input only.

        • The Pro supports QC3.0, which most of the newer Type-C devices have, and also it means you don't have to carry around an extra cable to charge the powerbank.

        • The phone you mentioned (Google Pixel), however, supports USB Power Delivery (PD), not QC3.0.

The Pro doesn't support USB PD, so I don't think it'll make a difference in terms of power output.

  • The offer is back in stock just ordered one for myself, try your luck be quick.

  • Anyone know what brand of batteries they use now? No reviews on the new ones.

  • Just purchased one. Was looking on Shopping Square eBay about an hour before this post and they only had the original version. Glad I stumbled across this as my power bank just died a couple days ago

  • all sold out again.

  • Bah!!! The one morning I decide "no I'll get some shit done. Don't even think about opening Chrome" and I miss this again.

    • Back in stock now FYI

  • Has anyone tried to 50,000mAh powerbanks available on eBay?

    • The no name branded ones? lol.

      • Yeah. Just wondered if they were totally crap, overstated capacity, slow to charge/recharge, etc

  • +2

And if you're looking for a silicone case for the power pack, point your browser towards AliExpress, it's the only site I saw selling them. I think there are 3 sellers with stock.

The black unit is bit of a fingerprint magnet. :(

  • confirmed. just bought one.

  • I'm still waiting for mine from China… ordered mid-November :(

  • Awesome

  • Purchased the black one. Thanks!

  • Just purchased black one cheers op

  • Thanks OP, just got a silver one.

  • Just as an estimation, how many times can this recharge my phone before I have to charge the powerbank? Nexus 6P user

    • +1

The Nexus 6P battery is 3450mAh, this is 10,000mAh, so approximately three times.

      • +1

        Not quite, but close enough.

        • +2

          approximately

        • @psterio: I meant in terms of capacity of the power bank. When comparing to a phone battery, its more like 7,000mAh.

        • @theguyrules: Does that mean that Xiaomi is misquoting the capacity of the powerbank? Of course, I wouldn't be surprised that some of the capacity is lost as heat when charging the phone battery, but surely 70% efficiency is a bit low?

        • @psterio: It's to do with the fact that they quote the capacity at 3.7V, which is the voltage of the batteries used. At 5V, you'll get at least 7,000mAh out of these power banks.
          http://www.mi.com/en/pb10000pro/

        • @theguyrules: Yep, that makes sense, I didn't know they quoted the capacity at 3.7V. Bit rusty on the old physics, but V = W/Q, so W = V * Q. The amount of energy provided by the powerbank would be 3.7 * 10,000 * (conversion factor to convert to Joules), so at 5V, it would be providing a charge of 7,400mAh. Makes sense.

        • @psterio: yep that's right. And at 93% conversion rate it's about 7000. Still a couple of full charges on the Nexus 6P so that'll get most people out of trouble!

        • @theguyrules: But the nexus 6P battery is also at 3.7v, so you can use the battery pack capacity directly, but need to take into account inefficiencies of boosting the voltage then converting it back down to charge the phone.

They really should be sold with the ratings as watt-hours (like home energy storage systems are)

  • thanks op purchased silver black is out of stock now

  • will this be compitable with Huawei P9's rapid charging tech?

    • +1

Nope. Nothing is, except for OEM Huawei chargers :(

      • damn! any idea where I can find that?

        • +1

No power banks have it as far as I know. I ordered this wall charger from eBay, but haven't received it yet as it's from China.

        • @theguyrules: official Rapid chargers available anywhere? i found one but its out of stock.

        • @yummycoot: ? the one I posted is.

        • @theguyrules: should not it be usb-c?

        • +1

          @yummycoot: It's USB-A to USB-C, that's all it needs to fast charge the P9.

        • @theguyrules: hey mate, have you got the wall charger yet? does it work? do you have to use an adapter with it since its compitable with only US plug points?

        • +1

@yummycoot: Not yet. Maybe it'll be at home after work, not sure.
I have an adapter already, so fine there.
I'll try and remember to update you on my findings when I get it!

  • More Stock again

    • No stock again

  • +1

Really good price OP. Alas! I don't need it.

    • +1

Yeah. I have 7 powerbanks in the house.More than enough for the next 3 to 4 years.

  • was secretly hoping they'd put up more stock - want a black one now…

  • Do you think these will come back in stock again soon? Also, I don't understand the following specs at the bottom of their page:
    Power input 5.0V2.0A, 9V/12V18W
    Power output 5.1V2.4A 9V/12V15W MAX

What is the 9V/12V18W stuff for?

Is there any difference/advantage between this model and the older 10,000 model, if being charged via a solar charger rather than from the wall? Will it still charge faster?

  • -1

Has anyone's been shipped yet? I placed my order on Monday expecting to ship out after 1-2 days but I've heard nothing.

    • Mine was shipped yesterday.

    • Shipped yesterday - arrived this morning. Too easy

      • When did you guys place your orders?
