One of the best deals to Beijing I've ever seen. First flight is booked from SYD-PVG (Shanghai) on Qantas, the rest are on China Eastern. If you play around with the dates you can get Qantas both ways, some are even direct, price seems to go up to $330 then.

Was looking for other cities (Chansha, Guangzhou, etc), but couldn't seem to find anything else.

Theres also $360 flights from Melbourne on China Southern.

EDIT: Found $267 return on China Southern!

    • wow so they charge you on arrival? I've never been before

      • +2

Its not on arrival, you need to apply and get a visa sticker in your passport before you even depart for China.

      • +1

No, you have to apply for a visa before travel. Takes 3 days (or pay extra to speed up).

    • $109 for single entry

      • $131 for mail in applications

You should check how much Australia charge for tourist visa.

$135. Might as well get them used to being price gorged before they get in the country.

Youve been TRUMPed by TA with their deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/288588. Trumped lol… :D PS. Happy Trump inauguration day

  • So cheap pollution much?

  • Beijing smog is quite bad so it's better off to go southern part of China.

  • China Visa application process is quite cumbersome as well. Need to provide details of all hotels and evidence of booking etc - But as far as the deal goes A++

  • pay 316 for smog?

  • Could someone who is across these things please state what Qantas Status points will be earned for these fares? I am guessing only 30 as only one leg is Qantas code share and the other leg is worth nothing?
