I am loving the battle of who can post the prices engine deal of the day the quickest.

12:01 is a record I think. Well done.

• +3

hahaha thank you. 12 o'clock is deal o'clock. i check 1-day, CoTD and now PricesEngine all at the same time now…

• +2

never heard of dealdump eh? i really shouldn't be giving away my secrets…
how do i put html links in btw?

• great deal.

• Got one .. time to ditch those 320gb and below

• +3

hay. A quick update. Our server memory are running under 500MB. which mean the server will be a bit slow.

I will keep update with you guys.

• -1

lol.. you should stick those 2x1TB as the memory :)

• +1

think your confusing ram with HDDs?

• +9

I think you're confusing 'you're' with 'your'.

• -5

@brodieface: meh, it's all the same!

stop ruining the point of a good correction with a correction!

• +2

@wisc: Shouldn't that be:
"stop ruining the point of a good correction with another correction!"
or
"stop ruining the point of a good correction with an unrelated correction!"

• @EarlyBird: i like your edit better… i.e. second bit to that comment!

• +1

@EarlyBird: why do people spell check others on online forums? is it that they are super anal, or is it that they have way too much time on their hands?

• @UFO: hang on i just have to create a few more accounts so i can give you a few more +'s on that comment…

though it wasn't really a spell check as much of a grammar check… wait… does that mean i now have too much time on my hands :D

• @wisc: i think so lol

• +1

@UFO: None of the above. They are just trying to do people a favour by pointing out their inadequacies (so they can learn and improve). The more harshly you criticise, the greater the improvement! Seems logical, right?

;)

• +3

@UFO: How many languages can you speak/write? If it's one then you should, at least, be able to speak/write it correctly. I can handle text speak and abbreviations but improper use of there/their/they're and your/you're are just annoying, albeit common. I'll forgive you just this once if your good though. ;-p

• @[Deactivated]: i agree with the fact that if ur only speaking/writing the one language u should be able to do it well but the odd mistake is common and it just annoys me when people are picky about little mistakes

• can't you do a new deal when the old one runs out saves us waiting for a day :D specially on a friday!

• +1

website shows its only a 3 year warranty? I thought all Seagate internal drivers come with 5yrs warranty?

• But this one it's only 3 years warranty, information from our supplier.

• Most consumer level drives from Seagate don't. But some do. All the workstation/server ones do. It's a bit confusing.

• Not for awhile now.

• Seagate changed sometime ago.

• +3

why do I want to purchase this when I don't need it?

Must… Resist…

• Im in the same boat!

• $60 a drive! So sexy. Nice and delivered :D

• +1

LOL. So HARD to resist….

I still have around 3-4TB from the deals in last six months or so here. Still not make fully use of them yet and some how still tempted by this deal !!

• +1

Nice price for 2 drives. Now I can quickly try out a RAID for an experiment before changing it back! :D

• Got one, thanks

• Got one as well. Perfect timing for me as building new system.

• A quick update. Last 50 set of this. We have been sold about 120 set.

• Sold Out.

• yes, sorry about your miss out.

• +2

Just a friendly reminder for all of OZbargain, Please make sure your PayPal account has been verified by PayPal.

Otherwise we are not able to process your order. Thanks

• +1

also we have the information from our supplier that the hard drive price will be increase from next week. the increase amount it's about 6~7 dollar.

For your information only.

• sold out now, any more?

• -1

confirmed, and over sold about 10 set due to our system problem

• So what happens to these people?

• -1

remember i have mention that last time.

if you hit the buy it now botton, we will reserve the stock for you until you confirm the order.

Because you have to go to paypal for checkout process and come back. ( this takes time)

So we will make sure everyone will have it once they hit the buy it now button. our system will reserve for them.

And this people just hit the button, so our system reserve for them and wait them finish the paypal checkout process.

• well that was quick….

• cause that is the last cheaper deal like this for hard drive I think, cause the hard drive price will be increase by next week.

• LAST OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• retailers always say that, they might go up next week, but they will drop the week after :D

in the long run they will always be cheaper, it's really only relevant if you need something in the next couple of days.

• +2

how does that give them a neg?

• this:

Dooooh!

:)

• your vote has been withdrawn as it does not meet neg voting criteria

• nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo i hit exit on my paypal and now its soldout

• -1

We are sorry for the people who are miss out this deal.

Sorry~~

• SOLD OUT…AGAIN>>>>>

• -1

yes, Sorry we have been sold about 180 set, and we are actually over sold already.

• I will update with you guys if we still have this price of hard drive from our supplier.

• I missed out, so it would be great if you get some more! Gary.

• my bluray drive showed up today thanks pricesengine perfect transaction.

• Just wondering why your T&C states "There is a surcharge of 3%." under Prices, but doesn't explain what for..

• It's the surcharge for we accept PayPal payment. som of the deal will apply this to this TC

• Paypal surcharge.

• kind of, But it will apply to some of the deal only. And don't worry we will show on the main page.

• minniewu how come that session expired problem after continuing from paypal hasn't been fixed. I have been trying to order this since 12:00 and after 17 tries it's sold out…..
I tried with firefox and chrome and still get the error, I have no problem using paypal with any other site only pricesengine. What's the problem? Can anyone help it's starting to get frustrating…

• try ie?

• That is one of the solution.

We have study on this problem before, and we discover that is the problem from PayPal.

• +1

that's the shits mate

I had no issue with firefox - my co-worker beside me used chrome and had no issues either…

• We have confirm that the problem is from PayPal payment system website.

we have already report this to paypal, and we still have not reply yet.

• I have previously bought from pricesengine before with no problems, on chrome or firefox.
Thanks for the help, will install IE just to access pricesengine from now on. Pop ups and spyware, I will be open for business soon :P

Also does it mean from my 17 failed attempts that there is 17 items reserved but not sold?

• Don't worry about this, Our system will keep count once they match our stock level.

And for the issues you have, It's because paypal site problem, we have make a lot of request about this issues with paypal.

And still have not reply yet.

• even though i didn't need the storage yet, i still had a stab at this because it was such good value. it's probably for the best that they were sold out when i hit 'buy'. :)

• No!!! It's too late that I see this.

• Sorry for your miss out.

• +1

They sometimes add more later in the day. I already have 2 of these drives otherwise I would have grabbed the deal for sure. Bring on the 2TBs please :-)

• +3
• I have no idea why your post is blank, but +1 for being different! lol

• +1

Never had been successful on grabbing a harddisk deal of pricesengine :(

• Sold Out it says

• +1

One word why you should resist: SSD.

• +1

I doubt 1TB SSD's will be affordable in the next 5 years.

• +1

You mean three words?

• Damn shame I missed out on this, must be quick enough checking there sites :P

Any chance of more Blu-ray drives coming along the way?

• Will there be any 2nd round like the other day? (ie: relist on 4 pm?)
Also, any max purchase per paypal account?

• +10

WTF ALREADY WHO THE HELL KEEPS ON BUYING THE HARD DRIVES DON'T YOU HAVE ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

• Thats why you keep ozbargain to yourselves, once you tell everyone the deals will sell out much faster and you'll miss out.

• DOH, already sold out! :-(

• +2

Well, i resisted the urge to buy it coz i already have enough storage for now!
Great deal though

• Anyone wants to sell them to me if you already have enough storage and had already ordered the harddisks? I will offer 20 dollars more than that.

• +2

You don't need to, they are around $80 at MSY now.

• Then I need to pay another 20 bucks, damn.

• +3

wow sold out in under an hr. next time can you make it 1 order per customer? i feel there are ppl buying and reselling.

• I think they did it on the last promo, but obviously not this one…

• +4

Awesomely good deal. Awesomely low stock. I'm sure there's at least one jackass that bought 10-20 to sell on eBay. Then again, no morals apply here. First come first served. Just hope prices engine can make it one per customer.

• +2

yeah should have been a 1-per-person limit on it IMO. and i can see the logic in buying/selling them in a 2 pack but probably would have been better as 1x 1TB for $60. then more people could have taken advantage of this amazing price. just my 2 cents…

• +1

This deal it's one set per PayPal account and shipping address.

• ah ok well thats good then… i take back what i said before

• -1

nonsense! there in the business to sell and promote. and by selling the way they have, they have done that well!

its a capitalist market after all!
edit: its not that i mind the negging, but at least provide a reason as to why its wrong!

from the comments earlier they had 150 packages or 300 drives!!! id say they had a bit of stock!

• Dude. They're in the capitalist market. No argument about that. I'm just voicing my discontent over missing out. It was an awesome deal.

There's no argument that the deal is good, which is why my vote is still positive. My being upset has nothing to do with the provider. There were only 31 or so votes when the deal was sold out with 300 drives available. And according to the REP, it was a one per person deal. I was just really surprised at how quickly it went considering how many votes it had at that point when it was sold out.

Again, before I get negged to oblivion, the deal was good and I have no complaints about missing out. I was just voicing out my discontent. Its like a reflex - like in footy when the guy misses the goal that's really required and goes F$#K! That's all I'm doing.

always sold out

but

• someone will randomly post later this afternoon they got one, even though the site says sold out
and the store rep says all gone

• someone will boast about how they bought stacks

• there will be issues with the site

• people will complain why i give it a neg,

since when do i have to get permission to give a neg?

• since people come to this site to give you a bargain, and by negging there product invalidly your scaring them away. if its a valid point fair enough…

its easy to say something not good, but back it up!

"sold out" is barely valid, if at all, they had at least 150 sets! heaps of bargains make it on here without even having anywhere near that amount!

• Well if you look at tit from the perspective of an individual negging it makes sense somehow, oldtvgear can scare potential buyers and increase the chance of scoring a deal him/herself. Good morals don't exist in the bargain world

• +1

someone will randomly post later this afternoon they got one, even though the site says sold out
and the store rep says all gone

if that is the case, then yes, that would be a valid neg. I would assume in those cases, people buy one, but dont reply until a later date.

someone will boast about how they bought stacks

thats not the stores fault

there will be issues with the site

if there is an issue, yeah that would be a valid reason. Keep in mind that there have been over 1300 clicks just from ozbargain alone in less than 2 hours.

people will complain why i give it a neg,

if its not valid, then yes, people have the right to complain

EDIT: you were 2 hrs late, when there is a super cheap deal, everyone flocks to the deal and buys one.
