  • Lol. I bought this a month back for $2.50, but didn't even install after reading mixed reviews. Anyone played it? Was waiting for Cdkeys stock Black flag back forever. However, bought preowned Black Flag yesterday from JB hifi for $14. Hoping to play it tonight.

It's not a -bad- game at all, it's just the AC formula has gotten very stale at this point. Certainly $2 worth of fun!

When it came out the reviews slammed it because of the bugs. But actually it's an awesome game in a great setting and I played it thru twice. Increase the immersion by setting it to French audio as well.
I bought it full price in release and don't regret it, but really jealous if you can get it for a few bucks

I just complete the main quest or just stop playing half way through, if I buy an enjoyable game cheap. Games I bought for $20+, i tend not only to finish the game but also to explore completely and take full worth out of it. So.. can go both way. :)

No worse than any other Ass Creed. Polished product but repetitive gameplay.

Was buggy at release and got more negative publicity from hipsters complaining about diversity.

it reminds me very much of Assassins creed 2. i loved it. it was buggy as hell at release, but they have patched it all since then. i really enjoyed the main characters and the story line. but im a big sucker for assassins creed games even if they do follow the same formula. if you liked ass creed 2 for the characters and story, you will likely like this. if you are more of a black flag lover, get rogue.

  • How are the so cheap? Reselling bundled copies or some such?

    • Maybe? these websites don't disclose where they get these cd keys from. They could be from less developed where they sell for cheaper or they could be purchased from the black market where they were obtained from stolen credit cards

    • Generally this sort of stuff (online goods) is bought with stolen credit cards at full price and on sold dirt cheap before the transaction is identified as fraud.

It happens with cheap iTunes cards every few months too.

I have no proof knowledge of cd keys, but it fits.

      • But normally theres a minimum price for these things. I don't think I ever seen any AAA game ever be this low so I figure there has to be something different about it.

        • These keys in particular have been sub $5 for a while. Compare that to AAA prices they have on their site (BF1, FIFA 17 etc) which aren't much of a bargain.

I'm going to assume these are bundled keys, coz if they were using stolen cards for everything, prices of other games would be cheap

OH SHIT, IT FINALLY DROPPED UNDER TWO BUCKS, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2017!

  • This is in the FAQ.

"Why are your products so cheap? Our management team have over thirty years of combined experience within the industry with an extensive network of suppliers and contacts from which to source products. We buy from all corners of the globe to ensure the cheapest possible prices and as we only sell products in digital form we're able to make significant savings on postage and related expenses - we then pass these reductions on to you, which ensures our pricing is the most competitive around!"

I have bought several pc keys from them over the last few years never had any issues I don't believe they are engaged in the same scummy activities of sellers you will find on g2a etc selling keys that have been obtained in an illegal manner. But if you are concered go ahead and contact them.

    • you are probably right. However, they don't disclose where they are based and provide no proof that they have obtained the keys the way they stated.
I will say they seem like a more reputable key seller but this question can't really go away. If massive re sellers like greenman gaming can be criticized for this issue then cdkeys.com definitely should not be ignored.

Same as bigw, jbhifi or hardly normal..no one discloses their source.

  • No love for PS4 version ? :(

  • Great price just can't afford the space it will take up when it's never played

Don't have to install it straight away if you don't want to, it can just sit in your 'ready to install' list :)

  • thanks picked this up. LOVE being behind the times with games. save heaps its awesome
