Great price, still waiting on a 26"+ though.

  • Will they deliver this to PO Boxes?

    • I don't think so, they only deliver to verified paypal addresses, I could be wrong though.

Edit 1: They don't mention anything about PO boxes on their website

    • It might depend if your Paypal account has been verified at that P.O box.

      • It has. I've only ever used my PO Box to get all my eBay items shipped (since I'm only home 3 days a week to receive parcels, the other 2 days I'm at full time work).

So even if they do ship it to a PO Box, the post office will hold it for me right? Or do they only hold small items.

        • They do ship to PO BOX.
My last purchase with them was shipped to PO BOX

        • For big items there will be awaiting card inside your box. You can pick it up the the shop and they will only hold it for limited time.

It depends on how big your PO Box is… These monitors don't fold too easily…

Great price for 24"! But gonna be using 55" as monitor :D

    • -1

Why? The resolution is going to be rubbish (in that it will still be 1920x1080 - just scaled up to a physically larger size) making everything look terrible.

      24" at 1920x1200 all the way. :)

      • 2560 x 1600 ???

        • on a 27" or 30"? :D That would be nice. A little out of my price range for now. U2410 will have to suffice. :P

      • You wont get that resoultion out of this monitor, or any other 16:9 monitor for that matter.

        • I'm aware of that. That's why I've bought a 16:10 one instead.

      • Its only a extra 120 pixels, dpi is pretty similar. Difference would be minimal.

        • yeah, fair point. however, I bought my U2410 primarily because it's IPS, secondly for the resolution.

    • Needed something bigger to view from a little distance, 24" is too small, so with a connected HDMI input, 55" will be perfect :D

  • About 8-10 months ago when I bought this from 9289 for around $200 delivered I had to get it replaced because of dead pixel. So make sure to check it thoroughly when you receive it.

  • great monitor!

  • Would this be good to use with an Xbox 360?

    • +1

Yes! Especially since it has HDMI & audio out

    • I would be very good to use on a 360, my 24" is 1920x1200 reso, i use the hdmi out, but you do not get 100% full screen, and if you do its slightly stretched. Good monitor for a 360 lcd and a pc one too!

  • win win, good pixel density for the res

FYI im using a 21.5" on the same res and some things get very hard to read

  • This is a good monitor, been using one for about a year with no problems.

    • me too. good full Hd and HDMI input. I use if for PC gaming and PS3 gaming.

    • +6

Cool, can I borrow your time machine?

      • -3

for what?? to buy dated technology with higher price??

as we all understand, this kinda electronical stuff all drop price drastically along the time

for this reason, 12 month with $10 drop isnt an actual good price for me!

    • +2

what is your point? this is still cheaper than msy plus msy has no stock so deal for me

      • -2

im just saying, with this price tag, this monitor isnt as competitive as it was

i think going with other new monitor is a smarter choice

    • That was a one-off deal like this is. Cheapest on static ice is $218 excluding shipping. Just because there was a good deal back then, doesn't mean this isn't a bargain now.

      • -5

the cheapest in the market doesnt necessarily mean a good deal!

e.g for some really awful ps3 games, it doesnt sell at all, but a lot retailers still list with original price for the left-overs, and then one seller lists that game for a bit cheaper price, so makes it the cheapest in the market. But this doesnt mean it's a good deal, since you still paying too much for an outdated item.

        • That is such a terrible comparison. Why don't you just be quiet now. Oh unless you want more negative votes on your replies.

          • -1

@NoApostrophePlurals: you are such an arrogant people.

i believe i didnt harm anyone, in fact i just tried to give my opinion, so someone can have 2 side info to make their decisions

why cant you and other my negative voters (not like i care like you) just have different voice??

    • +1

cloud226 - this is SPECIFICALLY covered in the wiki on voting . Please read the wiki before voting again.

  • Limit of one per paypal account is not cool.

    • +5

Blame the people that bought 10 SSDs so they could resell them on ebay

  • +1

I should have bought this last year. For now, I expect the price will drop more…

  • +3

    Good timing!
Was looking for a monitor for my new xbox 360

  • How do you know if your paypal account is "verified"?

    • When u log into paypal, it says where your funds are.. verified or unverified account

      • Awwwe crap… I've had a paypal account for AGES, and use it a few times a month (using my c/c)… I found it, and I'm unverified. What the! I've already put my order through for the screen, too.

I have started the verification process, which means I have to add a back account, and wait a couple of days fot it to transfer money into my account.

Aaaaaaaawwwwe I want that screen, I hope it doesn't delay the process. I paid with my credit card too.

        • Pricesengine reserves the right to accept or reject your order for any reason including, but not limited to the unavailability of any product, an error in the price or product description, an error in your order or a payer status in your PayPal account is marked as unverified. We will hold the stock for your if we see your order.

          • @minniewu: Ta! You should see mine, my username here is VERY similar to my email address I used with paypal. :) I started the verification process with paypal, I guess I just need to wait for them to deposit those small two amounts into my bank account to finish off, I hope it doesn't take too long.

  • [Eh… posted twice… sorry!]

    • Man i was hesitating as well…. to get or not to get……. GET!!!! phew just got it :P, now all I have to do is wait for my paypal account to be verified :S, you might be lucky though maybe some ppls account won't be verified and then you might get your chance :D

    • +1

      Why did I hesitate…WHY?!

  • +1

    • Mine took just over 2 days to arrive, but then again I live in metro sydney.

Finally bit the bullet and ordered this time.

      • GRATZ :D and thanks for that, CANT WAIT :D

  • YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • why will you buy from someone who don't have any ABN,address and contact no?

    • true and in some ways its predatory buying ie you need a battle plan to succeed lol

i have always wondered the easiest way to launder money , i think i have found it!

  • Well i guess paying by paypal somewhat makes it abit safer…..

    • not true, paypal does not provide buyer's protection for non-ebay items purchased.

      • oh well guess i'll just have to wait and see

  • Minnie!!! :) I missed out on this one…

any more lcd monitor deals coming up soon???? :)

  • When will you ship order out? Seems very slow or lack of notice..

Got this email on the 27th…

This is just a courtesy update regarding your purchase.

Your purchase order has already been approved [ O-12894 ].

    • I just received a tracking number this morning. My payment cleared last Friday.

I'll probably receive it either this afternoon or tommorrow.

  • Hi haven't recieved mine either. Others are obviously the same. Any idea when these will arrive?

  • Mine arrived yesterday (Melbourne). The box was a bit damaged (it looked like someone had put their foot through the side of the box, which happened to be the side of the LCD screen itself grrr), so I was very nervous when I plugged it in… but it powered on fine and I can't see any dead pixels. :D

  • So im guessing this is sold out from the description obviously, could someone please let me know if more are available please?
    Thanks
