Good find OP! If you don't need the in-body image stabilisation then the older A7 body for < 1000 (after the eftpos card) is also a great deal for a full frame compact camera.

    • +1 from me as well - my older A7 is brilliant.

    • Sorry, it is a bit late to ask. How much was the A7 mk1 yesterday? I will go ask if they can still offer the same today. Thank you.

      • I think it was $1106 before the gift card so about $950 after. Please note that it has been cheaper before (down to $870 i think search for a7 on ozbargin). Also note that a new A7iii is rumored to come out Q2 2017 so the a7 price will continue to drop so dont worry if they cant do the deal. I am sure another will come along soon. If you really want it now then you can get it for $998 from jbhifi deal that ends today.

Hope this helps. Good luck.A7 is a great camera.

        • Thank you so much for the tip, now you make me want to wait for the mark 2 to drop… Ha ha. I want the A7 to go with my Contax lenses…

I wish the A7S II was this cheap. That never goes less than $3200.

      • Yeah they are also shipping from overseas. The only way i know is because I asked ted's cameras to price match and this is what they replied with.

"We think your quoted supplier may be offering “Grey / Imported” stock, meaning it doesn't come from the Authorised supplier here in Australia.

The best price I can offer for the Sony A7s mark ii is $4,218.00."

Teds camera doesnt even pricematch if its local stock anyway.

  • Here is a good comparison of the three main a7 models MK I which I thought provided a really good guide on how the three models differ (even though it is MK II now).

Here is a link to a MK II Comparison which I thought was ok but not as comprehensive as the first post.

My personal preference is the a7S mainly because I get really annoyed with bad low light photos on my current Nex6.

  • Got to watch out for the battery life on these. It's a real killer if you are taking many photos and don't turn it off when not in use as the viewfinder likes to sap power quick.

Good deal on Fujifilm X-E2S as well, that ends tonight.

  • can someone explain why one wouldn't get it from here (australian + cheaper +free shipping) and also get cashback on it?

    Please explain

DWI isn't an Australian company, you won't get the $200 gift card & warranty is limited. They also have a 1.8% credit card/PayPal surcharge = $1688.86.

ahh ok, thanks for explaining. I see now. Many thanks

    • +1

Umm… Why would you think that they're Aussie?

      • my mistake

      • +2

It's an easy mistake to make since the domain is .com.au

I'm sure a lot of people purchase from them without realising, since they post items quickly by courier they might not even realise after receiving the item.

Harvey Normans real business is selling credit cards.

Grey import with in house dwi 12 month warranty

    • And it's $190.86 more expensive. Totally a bargain.

      • +1

Does GST apply to DWI orders if it is over $1000 ? If yes, then need to add another $166
