Xiaomi - Philips EyeCare 2 Smart Desk Lamp US $46.99 (~AU $62.29) Delivered @ Zapals

360

Was looking for a new desk lamp for the study room and I came across this rather cool looking number.

A collaboration between Xiaomi and Phillips it appears to be both a high quality and functional product sporting some decent reviews.

GearBest also currently have it on sale for $67.34 though this would obviously be the better deal.

The only negative I can see is the fact it doesn't come with the AU plug so an adapter will be required.

For those that may be wondering apparently it is 1.4M lumens at full brightness and yes it is a 10W LED. Lamp can be controlled by the buttons on the actual lamp or with the app. I believe this can also be linked in with other Mi devices though I'm not 100% sure..

If anyone can find a better deal, valid discount coupon or have more information to chime in please do as I'm yet to pull the trigger on this one..

Don't forget the 8% cashback with CashRewards if you decide to buy ;)

  • Anyone can recommend a better and cheaper reading light? Kind of expensive but the specs looks good.

Not necessarily better butt Ikea is selling Harte led lamp that is decent with temp around 4200K.

        with temp around 4200K.

        What's that in Celsius?

          What's that in Celsius?

    • That's the case with a lot of smart Xiaomi products. The Mi Amplifier for example will almost always fail to connect unless China is your locale in the app.

Mine works perfectly here in Australia

        • Doesnt happen to everyone but it's definitely the cause of a lot of failing to connect issues for people around the world.

  • If this could change colour like the Philips Hue would have bought it.

Cool light but indont I don't like that its smart without colour change

  • tempting to get one but have never spent that much for desk lamp, worth that ?

Great desk lamp as far as I used, I had Gen1 and Gen2 for this series of lamp, Gen2 is great only missing out is usb charger which is included in Gen1

    can use without app?

  • Does the globe use LED? How bright is it?

Also why do you want a lamp that's controlled by phone? Why not just have buttons on the unit?

How does it compare to this one?

  • Is there a similar type of desk lamp that is dimmable, can bend/move easily and also has the back secondary light, but is cheaper and doesn't need to be 'smart'?

  • zapal site says AU$ 86.14 currently.

  • be careful with this site …. i have lost money with them … never received my item

  • Now says $46.38 AUD?!
Edit: Sorry, didn't read shipping in title

    Just received mine; it's nice.

    • Still waiting on mine, how long was the shipping?

      • I ordered on the 5th of Feb and it apparently shipped on the 16th, so, couple of days of 'shipping' but several days of waiting to be fulfilled I guess?

        • Ordered mine on the 10th, finally received shipping and tracking info. Handling time is lengthy though I did purchase three other items to take advantage of the air mail shipping charge..

    • Just raised a ticket with Zapals hope i can get this sorted
Was really looking forward to getting my hand on it

Returning to sender - address not known
anyone come across this issue before ?

      • Perhaps it had been waiting at the post office over 10 days?

Customer service is hit an miss with those guys unless you catch their live chat (when it's open).
