Saw this pop up in my Facebook feed.
Popped in my email address and voila, a code was sent to my email which I could redeem straight away. My account was showing the subcription after logging out of the store and in again.
The T&C's don't make it clear which accounts exactly are eligible for the free month, but my subscription lapsed in December - so I don't know if this only applies to accounts without an active subscription. Worth a shot though!

Could be because you've already had a "trial" activated on your account, even if it was the free 3 day trial you might have had at the very start of your account creation.

I've tried it and got the ineligible comment as well. Have never signed up to PSN Plus nor used trials.
It's sounding like this might only be for people with lapsed accounts.

I just put my australian account in and it worked. My ps+ expired in Dec. Ive previously used the 14day trial

I believe it automatically goes into monthly auto-renew, but you can turn that off.

My AU account lapsed in early Jan and I havent renewed since. This offer didn't work for me.

My PSN+ subscription expired in September. Missed out on the PSN card deal 7Eleven had in December. I'm really waiting for a good excuse to resubscribe (re: the right games available at the start of the month). Would love to take advantage of this deal but I'm anti-facebook :( haha.
No FB account needed to take advantage, just a valid email attached to your PSN account. Unfortunately it's a bit confusing to whom this deal is actually available to :/
