Your image look like a processor. I thought you got a deal on i7

    • +5

Sennheiser i7 k-series overclockable headphones - passive cooling system

    • That'd be the cheapest 'working' i7 in the world - :)

    • No price on that. Probably don't have stock anywhere.

      • +1

That's just Officework's weird website, it often won't give you a price until it knows where you are. Use the "store locator" function to select a store as your local store, then click on the link again and it will give you a price.

However, you're no wrong about availability. Limited stock at three stores near me (Brisbane), no stock at the other two stores listed near me. The website says it will happily do click and collect at any of my local stores, in two day's time. Price is $99.95.

you can, and I just did.

    • doesn't the deal need to be advertised for a price match? pretty sure you can't show them an ozbargain photo of an ad.

      • Depends on how helpful the staff are.

  • I have some HD 419's worth it getting the HD 451's? More use them as movie headphones.

  • Is this an in-store only price?

    • Online and instore.

      • And one more stupid question, does sale start midnight EST?

        • Good point, I will check later.

        • doesn't start at midnight it seems

  • +1

How do these compete with the HD439? Been looking for an upgrade.

    • At least move out of the 4xx series if you're going for an upgrade…

      • I like my momentums, but these will make a good pair for work.

      • Then what series is a good one in terms of upgrading with a similar budget?

        • A budget of $40? None. If you're going to upgrade instead of sidegrade you'll need to move up a price bracket.

        • +1

          Koss KSC75

        • @throwawayaccount1234: i've bought 2 pairs and both stopped working out one side before too long, also i found the max volume far too low

    • +19

No. They still are $98 until tomorrow.

    • I interpret it more like this:

[The] HD451 over-Ear Headphones [are currently priced at] $38 ([the price] was $98)

I interpret it more like this:
[The] HD451 over-Ear Headphones [are currently priced at] $38 ([the price] was $98)

That's not what it says though, it says

        HD451 over-Ear Headphones $38 (was $98)

Headphones and correcting people's English: this really is a Cracker comments section.

    • A basic part of communication is understanding the intent behind the phrase.

  • -4

Is it an in-store thing or online too?

    • +2

Did you bother to read the replies to this exact some question posted in a comment just a few above yours?

  • +1

How does it compare to 201?

    • +2

Shitloads better. I have HD202s and HD439s.. Fairly similar comparison points - 4xx series are a lot more comfortable, more padding, better sound.
And for the price? It's well worth it.

"Hello Ozbargainer - Need any advice, talk to a expert now."

I'm impressed! (Aside from their lack of an "an".)

Um, shouldn't they be calling us Professionals?

    • +1

      Old news.

    • It's easily automated with the referrer information.

  • +1

Has anybody ever used these with a digital piano? A lot of headphones sound very thin when plugged into a piano, including high quality headphones like Bose QC35

    • +9

QC35 is not high quality headphone apart from the ANC capability. All Bose ANC headphones have no reputation on sound quality.

      • +3

I wish more people understood this.

      • Look I disagree ahah. But each to their own.
Didn't really answer the question though

        • +1

Bought a pair for digital piano use following the "Buy first, ask questions later" Ozbargain dictum. Only other over ear headphones we have are NC. Better to have something that doesn't need charging for the piano. Looks like this has been Ozbargained now, so I'm sure I'll be upset I didn't buy 2 if they're any good !

        • @belbo: I ended up buying as well. They're okay for piano, but not stunning

        • @lars06: Thanks. Wife and daughter just started lessons, so I'm guessing it will be good enough for them as real beginners.

        • @belbo: Yes definitely fine for that!

        • @lars06: Sounds good (excuse pun). I've hedged myself as haven't listened yet - and wife hasn't seen them yet - may not like the look! HN confirmed my pickup is ready, which I'll do on the weekend. Have ordered one from OW too. Over a week backorder time. So if we like them I have the second pair from OW. If not I have an 'expensive' pair of spare headphones for the kids' tablets - and I can cancel or return the OW pair. Buying from OW better than HN as OW give refunds. HN don't - but I did the HN purchase before 8 am this am before OW commited to the same price.

What you've described sounds like the digital pianos dont have enough power to drive your headphones, perhaps get a cheapo fiio headphone amp and a decent headphone then you're set!

      • Thanks but I don't think so. Both of my digital piano's are very high quality Yamaha's. I've used certain headphones with it and it sounds better

        • +1

yea but your "certain headphones" probably have different ohm (most likley lower) hence the piano can drive them probably. If you plug in anything half decent you'd probably find the sound to be weak and thin…

        • @homersyd: Ohh interesting. Okay thanks I'll check it out!

  • These look good, I just wish they had a mic and that clicker thingy. Might get them anyway..
Also I went looking for a good review and I found one :
    http://www.gadgetsmagazine.com.ph/technology/gadgetslab/gadg…

    3000 pesos, bit steep but!

  • +1

If earpads on these are compatible with 558 or even 600…

    e: nvm they're not

  • This or m50s by audio Technica?

    • +2

m50x - different price bracket though!

  • +1

I have so many headphones i literally still have a bunch in new packaging i never opened, and yet im very tempted to buy this pair too, heh.. bloody ozbargain ay ;)

    • +1

Same here! I'm going to try and skip these. Pretty much an entry level to the 4xx series.

      • That's ozbargain, headphones and Eneloops.. the staple diet of the OzBargainer ;)

  • +1

Nice one op, will get some for sure

  • Midnight EST and the price hasn't changed yet.

  • Do these come with a built in mic?

    • No

    • +1

This + an antlion modmic would go great though :)

  • +1

Looks like being awake till midnight didn't help. Price still unchanged ($98).

Will check in the morning… Yawwwwn.

    • I am wondering, how did the OP know that it'll be that price on the 9th of Feb? It doesn't say anything like that on the pic they posted, neither on HN site.

      • +1

        Tolling us

    • agree…zzzz

    • but…….they will be all gone by then, best stay up all night and keep refreshing your screen. It may well be "Perth Time" (ha) or of course, a click and bait thing. You will be mad not staying up (just in case) for what potentially may well be "non event". Ok……..perhaps not. Night night, time for my bedtime.

  • +2

    AVAILABLE NOW ~~~ 12:24AM
EDIT: false alarm, mainpage says discounted price, but checkout it is still full price

    • Not working HERE…

      SOMEONE HELP US !!! :GG

      • +2

it reverted back to $98, but i swear i saw it which means at least we know OP is correct.

  • +2

You did see it (I have 3 times). It adds to Cart and shows as $38 if you hover over cart. When you go to cart it reverts back to $98. My guess their systems are not synced.

    • Yup, I've just seen that too. It's crazy.

    • Possibly in different timezones or may be waiting for perth's midnight.

      • @zhandu - Looks like a late night for you so (ha)!

    • Same as here…

      Price $38
      Payment Checkout $98

      GG

  • Relax everyone. It will sort out eventually.

    • yeah. probably, when they quickly remove them from their "availability" inventory (for the 9th only). Ok I am being mean but my bed is calling me!

  • +1

    Fixed and bought! THanks OP!

  • AVAILABLE NOW

  • Have just pulled the trigger. It is available now. :)

  • +1

    Thanks.

    Just purchased.

  • Likewise, just purchased. Hopefully stock will be avail……..now time for the calling bed!

  • +1

    Thanks OP - bought

  • +1

i don't need this but bought anyway :(

    • -2

… then you just wasted $38

      • +3

        ..the ozbargain way :(

  • +1

Ordered. For my son, just because such a good price. oz bargain, oz money lost

  • +2

If everyone could calm themselves and not Ozbargain this deal tomorrow morning so I can get it from Officeworks, that would be great.

  • Out of stock pretty much everywhere in Adelaide…. Not going out of my way to score a pair.

    • Did you get the back order offer?

    • Marion, Noarlunga available for southerners

      • I picked up the last one on the shelf at Marion around 10:45am. Was showing in stock on website previous to this, but now out of stock. Might be worth ringing to check if anyone was thinking of heading out there today.

    • I got one from the Marion store, and both Noarlunga & Gepps Cross stores had stock at the time. I just got an email that it's ready for pickup.
