50% off 1 Year Getflix Subscription ($29.70), 70% off 2 Years ($35.64)

LOVE50

According to an email I received from the company today:

LOVE70 – a secret code for a 70% discount on a 2-year subscription

LOVE50 – a pass to a 50% discount on a 1-year subscription

Looks like the 'lifetime' subscription is still available from StackSocial, but if you're looking for a cheaper option or have no confidence that Getflix will last for more than a couple more years then these codes might be a suitable alternative

  • When we signed up, the was a "discount for life" thing. Not sure if they still do that. Anyway, just FYI for anyone in the same situation, this code does not stack. It won't apply because I already have a greater discount applied.

  • How does this work with the HD / 4k streams, will it need time to buffer the shows from the US or is the getflix connection fast enough?

I'm using my lifetime getflix sub from the above link with 4K Netflix fine.

    • This is a Smart DNS service (although Getflix do have a VPN service as well, but not needed for Netflix). Only the initial authentication is done through Getflix, the actual stream has nothing to do with them and comes directly from the Netflix CDN to your net connection.

So the speeds aren't affected by Netflix, it's all up to your own internet connection (and associated routing of your ISP).

    • Hey there, I've been using this service on a lifetime subscription for around a year now and streaming speed can vary on a lot of factors, but mainly your internet connection speed, time of day and network congestion.

On an ADSL2+ connection at home I get 7-8mbps line speed (1-1.2MB/s download speed) and Netflix Australia run at around 5-8mbps depending on the aforementioned factors.

Netflix US through Getflix typically initially buffers very slowly (1mbps) and speeds up to 4-5mbps at most on a good day.

      Hope this helps!

EDIT: Just as a side note you can access region-locked stuff that Getflix doesn't officially support through its SmartDNS with their included free VPN service. This is quite slow, usually around 1-4mbps for me on average on the Cali server. But definitely fantastic value for what I paid.

  • easy, thanks, trialed a vpn a while back and it struggled with the hd/4k US stuff. for ~$30 Im willing to try again.

    • i have a lousy 3Mb connection, would it work with that?

Also can you use this in conjunction with a Kodi Box?

      cheers

Just get the Lifetime Subscription, it's mega cheap at US$39 and 10% off for email subscription. For a few $ more than the two year 2 sub it's a gamble I would definitely take.

  • Do the trial first. There are connections that will never be able to get US Netflix and getflix acknowledge this.

Yep they don't do netflix anymore

      • They do, just some of their servers have issues.
I'm still using it fine for Netflix

        • which one do i choose, have not been able to get it for more than a week :(

        • @live_1991: contact their support if it's not working, they can help narrow down which one will work for you.

What do people use it for anymore? I have a lifetime sub and don't use it since it wasn't worth the hassle with Netflix's cat and mouse game

Anyone managed to get Netflix US on Apple TV with this?

    • I'm also interested on this please

      • Easy… This was never the issue. I tricked my modem, all media players worked fine (Roku, AppleTV, Chromecast). I just got sick of updating the DNS and it dropping out every few days.

        • Which modem you using mate?

    • Hit and miss for me.

If anyone is thinking about getting this for Netflix forget it. Constant issues unable to connect to US anymore, This used to be great before all the geoblocking, used to have USA, Germany, Canada & UK used to be really good once upon a time.

    • I have been using Getflix to access US Netflix for years. There were a few issues now and then over that time, but for the last few months I haven't had an issue. This is with accessing US Netflix on my Samsung TV and Nvidia Shield TV.

  • It"s working perfectly fine with Netflix US and has been for months. There were issues beforehand but they"ve now got it sorted.

    • Really? I may have to reconsider

Sorry for being ignorant. So you login to Netflix via a Getflix app or are you able to log straight in to Netflix? Just wondering as it's unlikely that I'll be able to out Getflix on to my box.

Also, is a US Netflix subscription different to an Aussie one or does your Aussie payment cover it?

    • Ditto

    • Straight into Netflix, just change the DNS entry on your device

  • Dont know why others have had issues been with them almost a year and no problems here. Used someone else before them when there was a carry on with netflix but these guys sorted it out.

Now as my account will be due soon can i take advantage of this offer,i would just go year by year for now as dont even know if these guys will still be as good for getting netflix but i cant fault them right now.

The major advantage of this approach over others is that only a small number of connections are re-routed via our US servers. All of your regular Internet browsing is unaffected. Even the video streams from Netflix and Hulu are not re-routed, video is streamed directly from Netflix and Hulu to you. All of the country and location checks that Netflix and Hulu perform are completed prior to streaming the video, so there is no need for us to re-route these connections.

    • I find that if I have the region selector off the stream is beautiful but as soon as I switch it to U7 the stream quality that comes through is downright awful not unwatchable but getting close. Hulu on the other hand not a problem at all

  • Thanks, OP. I trialled the service for a week and then bought the 2 year sub. Who knows what the market will be like in 2 years time?
