$200 hairbrushes, are they made of actual ivory?

    • +3

Yes, and the bristles are made from endangered pygmy elephant pubic fur.

Yeh, with inlaid diamonds. Can you believe this?. Is there a mug on earth who would go for it?

People might scoff at paying so much for a hairbrush, but these will really last forever. Using boar bristles vs. synthetic also makes a huge difference - less frizz, more volume, smoother hair.

A cheaper alternative is Fuchs, which you can get from iherb:

Haha, Valentines promo. What would you like sweetheart, a candlelit dinner at one of the best waterfront restaurants or, wait for it….a hair brush?

      My girlfriend wants boar bristles.

      Girl here. Hairbrush thx.

Dinner is fleeting, this hairbrush is forever!

      • Lifetime guarantee?

        • +2

Anyway forever is not necessarily a good thing. It will remind you of me long after I'm gone.

Don't think so, but have yet to hear any reports of a broken Mason Pearson brush.

        • @Lps: lol :)

          @undercut: badaboom!

  • Tangle Teezer way better and cheaper.

  • Bought one of these brushes at DJs maybe 20 years ago. My wife stole it when I shaved my head and my daughters use it now. My wife buys new brushes every year, but this one keeps going and is still a favourite for them. Handle has some cracks from being dropped but still works fine…

  • I have very long hair and I only ever use a Mason Pearson Brush. And always have. To keep long hair healthy, boar bristle is the only way and the design of the Mason Pearson is the best boar bristle brush anywhere. If you're a guy and have two inches of hair, then anything is fine, but the ends of my hair are 10 years old and so I have to take good care from the roots down. This is a good price unless you are flying to the UK and can buy one there.

    • boar bristle is the only way

Agreed, I haven't met a girl yet who doesn't like boar bristle.

      • No doubt they all bristled at the bore. đŸ˜‘
