This just arrived in my inbox a few minutes ago, announcing a one-hour Flash Sale at MSY for subscribers. They all look like clearance items, they all have a limit of one item per customer, and all are available online only (no pickups). Shipping is extra.

Flash sales is Wed, 22 Feb, 4pm-5pm AEST, or until stocks last.

    At that price the 750ti would be stellar for a HTPC / back up GPU; All over that like Robbie Coltrane to a plate of chips.

      Good luck finding one. 2 stores low stock Australia wide. I'll be surprised even if they have any. MSY stock list is not live. For some reason it has a 4 hour delay.

      What a sham, bait advertising. They should be listed on those stores clearance list and not the email they issued

    Besides the mouse there is pretty very little stock Australia wide. Not op's fault but these belong on individual stores clearance list and not their mailing list. The neg is for the store, not the op

    GTX 750 - no stock anywhere
    Cooler - 2 stores, low stock
    SSD - 2 stores, 1 low

    And the sale hasn't even started yet. What a joke MSY

      While I understand where you're coming from, I don't think this deserves a neg. The coolers and ssd are on the clearance lists like you stated in your other comment so did you even check them at all? I live near their clayton store so I was able to order one for pick up but I would have never known about this if op didn't get the email.

        No I didn't check the clearance list but that is where they belong. That is my point. This email 100% meets the definition of bait advertising. I can understand running out of a reasonable amount of stock but there was not a reasonable amount to begin with. 3 of the 5 items advertised have no or very incredibly low stock. How much do you think is actually going to be left once the sale is supposed to start? Probably nothing

        Don't count your chickens just yet. Ordering online and successfully picking up with MSY is two different things. I ordered 5 items this week with MSY and then got an email back saying only 1 item was in stock. So I then ordered those 5 items from another store (again all listed available). There was slight improvement with 2 items in stock. They then said because I ended up at 3 stores they would help me out on Monday. Received an sms on Monday saying sorry they could not help me any further. And these were on sale items, not even clearance items like these

          Yeah I see your point now that you mentioned it. The cooler I just ordered is supposed be "only available for online delivery" but it said it was out of stock so I tried the pickup option instead which worked. Kinda sketchy I suppose…

          Well I'll see how it goes and post an update. The mouse is a good deal on its own if you ignore the rest.

          Good luck. I did manage to get the most two important items I needed this week. I was certainly not negging for my recent run-around with MSY. More so the non existent stock levels and the bait advertising. Hope you score the cooler. It is a great price.

          The mouse is the only thing listed deal worthy. Maybe I should revoke my neg for that alone but I also think people also need to be made aware of MSY dodgy practices

          @4agte: I'd just like to mention that the cooler, ssd and monitor are being sold at the listed prices on the flash sale so that might explain why the stock is really low. There are still quite a few monitors around so I guess that's okay. Not sure about about the video card though…

          The price of the monitor isn't really anything special plenty of other options. It is also MSY everyday price on that item too

          Yeah, MSY stock goes very quickly. Did you see the mechanical keyboard and mouse combo for $49 the other day?

          The store rep said there were around 200 in stock but it was all bought immediately. I was trying to buy one but they added the cost for delivery which raised the price to $58 so I didn't buy it. I changed my mind a moment later but they were already gone by then. MSY did say they would refund the delivery for those who bought it regardless so you have to give them credit for that. There were people who were salty about that though but I wasn't too mad about it because I didn't really need it.

          MSY are a bit incompetent I guess when it comes to these sort of things.

          @4agte: Whelp looks like you were right I've been bamboozled, they emailed me saying it was ready for pickup but afterwards they said it was said it was out of stock when I placed my order.

          I'm gonna try the other vic store but I'm not really expecting much, it's probably sold out at that place as well.

          Also they updated the stock for the video card, it only mentions vic_online though.

          On Facebook today they mentioned they will have 100+ GPU's and mice. So that will probably be update hopefully for the sale. However, they the completely avoid providing info on stock levels for the SSD and cooler

      Only the GTX 750 and mouse are part of the Flash Sale. (GTX 4-5PM, mouse 5-6PM)

      The rest were already available for purchase when I received the email yesterday with cooler and SSD both marked as clearance items.

      Yeah that's true, maybe that's why they made it online delivery only. It's a bit strange how they still let you order some things for pickup because I've ordered the cooler twice that way already.
