Do people still spend $1,600 for a laptop with an Intel HD Graphics?

    • +1

Not everyone plays games on their computers… that's what the desktop is for.

      • -2

It's clear to me that you're uneducated regarding computers.
Laptops can do gaming and there are laptops as cheap as $1,100 that can do gaming.
This Dell Inspiron doesn't make any sense with its top Intel CPU + 12 GB memory + 500GB SSD.
So it can't do gaming as well as it can't do video editing and rendering then what is left?
        Internet surfing and office applications?
A laptop that costs $600 can do the same job.
        I hope you learned something.

I know I require beasty computers and it doesn't matter if they don't have a graphics card. Good CPU, SSD and RAM are important for fast web browsing with many tabs, fast window switching, running multiple virtual machines and compiling code.

          I hope you learned something.

@jazoom: An i7 it's not needed for running your made up dreams and it's a waste of money so you are the one who needs to learn something.
          Now go back to school.

i picked up a lattitude 2 in 1 7000 series from the dell outlet - has been an absolute disaster
    in 18 months…
    - mother board replaced
    - power board - replaced twice
    - wifi adapter - replaced
    - power cable - replaced

now the keyboard has gone - have to type off the screen.
until now they were providing onsite care - now they want me to send it in for repair and manage with out my laptop (used for work) for ~ 4 weeks.

I tried to get them to replace the keyboard/base at the last repair issue given I had so many issues with it - they wanted to patch it and now I have to suffer for it…

dont know if this is a common issue with the 2 in 1's or that I was just unlucky…

    • Just bought one of this 7275 from graysonline for roughtly $600, I thought it is a bargain, until I see this…….

      • my bomb was the 7350 - I am sure your model is fine
I'm just annoyed Dell think it is normal to
        1. patch up small things when there is clearly a bigger issue going on
        2. expect me to be without my work computer for 4 weeks when this could easily be solved by replacing the keyboard
        - I forgot to mention they are not willing to let me just send in the keyboard and hold on to the tablet - they are insisting on both (even though it is clearly a keyboard issue

    • Ask them to replace the whole laptop considering it has failed so many times unless they can prove that the issues were not related which in your case are very unlikely. The power board issue can lead to damage in other cards/mother board

Seeing USB2 makes me laugh. When will they understand

That "was $2199" makes me laugh.
