        • Cashrewards says "Purchases made with coupon codes not advertised on Cashrewards may result in cashback not being paid". The Lenovo Chat rep did use TA-E470-915 to get me the $915 discounted price. Are you saying that the Cashrewards statement is misleading and you must also do it via the CR link?

        • @mcrobert57: Here's the clickout from CR on my iPad just now, showing time stamp and coupon working…

          https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/27551/47404/img_2265.p…

CR statement is in no way misleading. Either the Lenovo rep told you a porkie, or you're using the wrong code.

        • @tightarse: I see from your picture that you selected a different product "Part No.20H1CTO1WW".

Cashrewards sent me to Part No.20H1A022AU and that part doesn't accept TA-E470-915.

I don't know how to get to the "ThinkPad E470" your photo shows. The ""ThinkPad E470 - i7 with 2GB graphics" I was presented with sounded like the right product.

        • @mcrobert57: I have no idea what you clicked and how you got to a different product. Did you use the CR link I provided at the very bottom of the description? Do that, then select Shop Now and you'll find it works.

        • +1

@mcrobert57: You probably clicked the CR link for the general Lenovo sale instead, which then takes you to the deal page with multiple laptops, including the one you have mentioned above. That model there is different to the one offered in this deal.

I just bought it through the link at the top of this deal with no issues. Cheers TA

  • How does this stand up against similar priced Asus Zenbook ux330 in amazon?

Sure the processor is i5, but lighter and got usb-c.

Which keyboard and track pad is better?

  • Anybody experiencing problem with warranty on this?
I heard warranty claim is a nightmare with any Lenove products

  • Does anyone know if it is easy and possible to add an additional 1 Tb Hard drive for storage. 256 GB is very small , just want to be assured of this before I buy,

Also on average what are their delivery times like ? are these shipped from within Australia or overseas ?
    Thanks

  • The Code works well

  • Finally pulled the trigger. Hopefully i dont regret lugging around this big thang around uni. That 2-3 weeks shipping time tho -_-

  • How often is the deal for this laptop?

I am going to overseas on June so I am planning to buy it at the end of April so I can apply for TRS.

Also, how is portability? Is it bulky? I am going to use it for uni (software engineering) and I expect to use it almost everywhere.

    Thanks

  • Bring on the Lenovo X1 Carbon discount deal next please!! so much better being more advanced features like quick charging time and much less weight, being much better for portability!

    • yes please.. surprised we haven't seen one yet since the gen 5 is out. Huge discount on either of them i'd be happy, X1C is just way too expensive for the specs offered at RRP and even on their regular sales.. only good for large corporates that have the money to burn..

  • Can't wait to set mine up, using Mobile to put deals together can be a bit slow.

  • Anyone know when this exact deal will come back around? I realise that I just missed it! :(

  • I've just checked the lenovo website and now it offers the same laptop ( with 8 gb instead) for 949. However yesterday they offered it for 1299.

Is it going to change all the time like this? and is it really limited stock?

  • Tracking info says my laptop should have been delivered yesterday (expected delivery), but still not out for delivery.

    • which tracking info are you looking at? Lenovo tracking is a little strange as there's one that shows delivery to the local delivery hub and then there's another one to the customer. i.e Mine said 'delivered' and signed for etc but that turned out to be step 1 of 2.

      • Yeah I think the detailed tracking info might be a bulk shipment of orders? Both links show an expected delivery date of 28th, but doesn't say it as has been delivered.

        • I got a call yesterday saying there was problems with customs (I'm in Melb) and should be arriving next week sometime

  • +1

I just received a call this morning from lenovo saying that my order is stuck in customs in China. This will affect most orders from this deal I think.

    Delivery is expected next week

  • I got mine today! Didn't get a call from Lenovo, not sure why you guys have customs issues. Also i bought on the last day of the deal and seem to have got it pretty early (It was saying 4 April expected delivery).

    • You lucky bugger! I bought mine 2 days before the deal expired. 29th March expected delivery date
