Based on MPN 4N6-00003, it is old one.

But then what's the difference? Any difference in response time or something?

      • New one has textured grips and bluetooth.

Doesn't the latest version have the 3.5 jack and bluetooth?

The description implies this controller has both?

  • Whats the deal with 3rd party controllers? Are they terrible?

Don't even bother with these, they will probably break after a months use. Just get a genuine controller.

    • I picked up one of these off Alex press for $20 about 6 months ago.
It works okay but feels very average.
Handy as a fourth controller when the kids want to play 4 player Minecraft but I tried it with BF1 and it wasn't great.

  • Sorry i am confused with the controller model numbers and i've literally only just bought an Xbox One so it's all new to me

The description states is has Bluetooth connectivity so would that make this the GEN 3 version? Looking on the MS store, and the link provided above, I only seem to be able to see the model MPN 4N6-00003 which suggest this is the currently available model?

If i've understood correctly, Bluetooth would be useful to connect to a PC or other devices instead of having a need for the wireless dongle/USB cable. To connect to the Xbox One S console, this would still be over wireless?
