    Any prices?

    • -2

Hey PJC - all of the pricing is on the website - it would have been overwhelming to have every packages pricing on here.

Every package? Your description lacks even one $ sign. You know your best packages, so list 3 or 4 in your description with links and you might sell something. We like to see prices here because we come here for bargains, not your website.

        Sales, Catalogues and Stores

        People generally value their time.

If you know there is a good bargain or two in a sale, catalogue or store, it's a good idea to mention one or even two bargains, in the title, and provide direct links where possible, to those items.

If there are multiple bargains in the same sale, catalogue or store, it is still advisable to post once only. Then multiple items can be listed in the same posting; probably with what looks to be the best or most popular bargains at the top.

Consider lower data offerings at lower price, virtually no one buys Australian servers for high bandwidth usage when international providers can offer terabytes for a few bucks a month. With this in mind, your market is usually private game servers or ping sensitive applications - not high bandwidth allowances.

For comparison RansomIT offers 1GB RAM, 2 CPU cores, 20GB storage and 300GB bandwidth for $10/mo (half the price of your 1GB RAM offering), all in the same Equinix Sydney location and equivalent virtualization.

    • Hi Dyl.
      Thanks for the comment.

We're linking ransomit.com.au so anybody can compare each providers list of products, services and package inclusions carefully to help make informed truthful decisions about where they should host their valuable data.

Let our 24/7 support team know if you have any questions or need any help choosing a product or service that best suits your needs. They are contactable via live chat, phone, email, slack, facebook, Twitter and of course here on ozbargain :-)

It's actually cheap for Australian bandwidth, and there are many who prioritise data over CPU/RAM.

However it appears that the VPS are actually in New Zealand? From the deal description:

VPS Hosting is based in our VOCUS NZ Datacentre

      • Yeah noticed this after, still is decent pricing bandwidth wise… Just lacks on RAM/CPU for the price.

As with heavy bandwidth users, I currently pay $7/mo for an Australian server (for private game servers hosting/low letancy needs) and $3/mo for a US high bandwidth server - it's still cheaper to have a low letancy server here AND a high bandwidth server internationally.

Maybe someone out there needs low letancy and high bandwidth, but I can't personally think of any application which requires this beyond commercial use (in which I case a more professional solution should be considered instead anyway).

        • We (OzBargain) rented 2x Sydney VPS from Vultr as front-end cache-proxy to Amazon S3, where our images and uploaded files are stored. Basically USD $40 for up to 6TB of data (and we are close to using that), verses USD $0.14/GB from S3 or CloudFront. Basically a poor-man's CDN.

We can understand your concerns in relation to cost factors and what does come with the services we offer, take not that we're going to introduce new ways VPS systems can be purchased in future and will be more delegated to the way you want them designed and not the way we outline them currently.

We want users to be able to select the purpose of their VPS's most definitely, if you're looking for a particular setup shoot me an email to [email protected] and I will see what I can do with regards to price - normally we outline what is quoted from our website but I'd like to see what you are wanting to see and we may be able to introduce such a package for the ozbargain community.
