  • Any deals on NAS 4tb drives?

  • Has anyone had experience with the HDD's ?

    • -8

I have had many experience with "the HDD's"
They store my data on a spinning medium.

Fascinating. No longer do we need to store things in volatile memory or on cassette.

Yes and it wasn't a good one. Out of my 4 HDDs, 2 have failed (3.5years in use) One failed just after a year (just out of warranty, the other just a month ago.

I can't say I was impressed and will try to avoid Seagate from now on.

  • had me excited for a second. I want a 4 TB 2.5" portable drive, for a bargain price.

  • Google doesn't translate page when I go to create a Jap Amazon account.

I have a US one, would that work?

    • -1

      Why don't you try it?

      • Nah didn't work

Edit - I managed to get one. Just first page of create JP account couldn't be translated. Ended up $152 delivered to Perth for me.

        Thx OP

Seagate is really bad, both of my 2TB seagates failed within 1 & 1/2 years. What happens is the computer freezes for about 15 seconds and you hear a noise from the drive restarting up. Once that happens you have about 1 week to get your data off assuming the constant access of transferring won't bust it at that stage, just get important things first.

No I am never buying seagate again.
