I'd be careful buying liquid chlorine from Bunnings. Most stores keep it sitting in the blazing sun all day. Liquid chlorine is very sensitive to sunlight and heat so by the time you buy it may have lost a lot of chlorine concentration. Buy it from a pool shop that does a good turnover, gets new batches every 2-3 days and stores it inside the shop.

bunnings has chlorine inside. at least at the 3 stores I used to buy mine from.

      • Yes, they obviously have to bring it inside to sell it, but it's how and where it is store before they bring it inside that you should be concerned about.

        • It's bunnings.. it's literally a warehouse. The stuff comes on a pallet off a truck and it's forklifted into the internal sales space. You can literally see the pallet it's come in on..

You've made a valid point but isn't it likely that where it's stored before it's in the warehouse is exactly the same issue as where it's stored in a pool shop ? Probably the issues are where it's stored at the wholesale distribution point or the truck which may be sitting out in the heat or..

I'm also looking at the amount of turnover my local bunnings seems to do on pool chlorine and would suggest it's probably in the same ballpark as the local pool store.
