Terms and Conditions
The advertised Savings Maximiser variable welcome rate is current as at 16 August 2010 and is subject to change. Variable welcome rate applies for 4 months from the date the Savings Maximiser is opened. At the end of the 4 month period, the rate that applies to the balance will be the Savings Maximiser standard variable rate applicable at the time. Bonus interest will be paid during the first 2 weeks of October. A tax liability may exist with the payment of the bonus interest. This offer is applicable on the first Savings Maximiser that your friends open (including joint accounts). This offer cannot be used in conjunction with the $20 account opening offer. You should read the Terms and Conditions booklet at ingdirect.com.au and consider if a Savings Maximiser is right for you before making any decision. Savings Maximiser is issued by ING DIRECT, a division of ING Bank (Australia) Limited ABN 24 000 893 292.

mod - I logged onto ING Direct. There is that picture there at the Banking Home, for me. When I click on it, I get taken to
www.campaigns.ingdirect.com.au/itsyourmoneymonth/
so I've changed the default link to the above.

I don't know about the original link, which is discussed by the first 9 or so comments, but this is it here

  • Damn, I now need 5 friends who don't have ING Direct accounts :-(

    • I just wonder about Everyday Account.
Free use of every ATM in Australia when you withdraw $200 or more

Does it mean you can withdrawal from any ATM
without paying fee for any amount or just only over $200?
If I got least than that, how much do they charge?

      All phases are not cleared.

      • ANY ATM in OZ! (no more looking for your ATM)
The ATM Fee is what ever the ATM Provider charges. Stated before the transaction on the ATM. (You'll pay this if under $200)

If you withdraw $200 or more (if the ATM lets you) then ING Automatically and instantly refund the fee charged.

If you withdraw $200 with EFTPOS they will pay you $0.50

        • Thanks.

          It's quite unclear to me.

    • Feel free to "Report" the bargain, but instead of writing something bad, write your referral link and hopefully we can add it to the deal's body :)

  • I got the email about this too…but for some reason there is no place to refer people under 'My Offers' - the only offers I can register for are Visa Entertainment and Smart Home Loans…any help would be great (not that its a big deal cuz otherwise I'd have called ing directly…)

    • Same here, nothing under "My Offers" so how do I register for this?

  • +1

This is great. Thanks. A few years back they gave me $123 just for signing up (got to know about the deal from OzBargain too).

  • and for me who is not, it makes no diff :(

  • Can't find the link from INGDIRECT,
You need to put in you client ID and surname info, so be careful it is a hoax.
I have sent email to ingdirect to clarify it. Await for response.

    • don't think its a hoax, I put in a false surname and it didn't find me. Then put in my real surname and it identified me correctly

  • It's under my offers - register(the other one is Participating)

  • i have got it under my offers too

  • Sorry guys, there is no Refer-a-Friend offer under "My offers" - only Visa Entertainment and Smart Home Loans

  • I've called ING and they're 'investigating' why its not coming up….

  • Anyone want to refer me? I want to get the $40 instead of the $20 they are offering for signing up through my own initiative haha

    • [EDIT] Sorry folks, mine is full.

I need a referral please. Can anyone confirm if the referrals email system is working?

    • I still have 2, PM me if you need one.

  • +1

I have three, send message to me, if needed.

  • I STILL HAVE 5. MSG ME IF NEED.

  • I don't have an ing account yet - can someone refer me - thanks.

the referral email system doesn't seem to work.. none of my friend receives the email from me. any clue?

  • none of my five friends receive any email from ING.

However, I got the referral code from ING.
What should I do with this code?

Can friends sign up by their own and put this code in at some stage?

    • you just need to send them the promotional code. they need to enter that during the sign up process.

"Can friends sign up by their own and put this code in at some stage?"

no. i already rang up ing direct and asked. apparently the offer is available to existing (pre aug 12) customers only.

      • If I send my friends promotional code, they have to find way round INGDirect site on their own and find a place to put the code in. Is this right?

To make things simpler, I better include a link for my friends to sign up. If anyone has receive a referral email, please post the link here and advise where I can modify it to include my own reference code in.

        • +1

sorry, i misread your previous question. yes, your friends can just enter the promotional code at the bottom of step 4 during sign up. no special link is required. if no promo code is entered during signup then you only get $20 bonus interest.

          • @c64: Thanks, I will tell my friends to follow the step.

BTW, I have got some referral quota left.
            Anyone wish to get mine?

  • strange. i just go an email saying they had paid my $40 bonus interest. i checked my online account and sure enough they have. i thought it was going to be paid in october?

  • does anyone feel like referring me?
