Free Sand Bags at Centenary Landscaping Darra QLD

1520

With many QLD residents affected by flooding rains today, I'm eternally grateful to the lady who took the time to tell the long line of motorists (including myself) - who were going nowhere waiting for sand bags at the council depot - that Centenary Landscaping was providing sand, bags and shovels.

Consider it an alternative if you need sand bags. Stay safe if you're out on the roads QLD.

Well you don't want an unlandscaped cemetery…

It's still available at the dead center of town

No great loss, that place was a R.I.P. off

    • +2

      you've lost the plot

  • Not worth it after you calculate P&P. Might be better if you remove the sand. :-P

I though I'd throw in an OzBargain cliche while we're at it.
I hope this system goes out to see pretty quickly and there is no need for them. (watching it blow and bucket down outside)

    Can't believe someone reported this.

Obviously they didn't comment coz they know they would get flamed.

or that they are angry, that this deal wasn't mentioned earlier. There be their house, floating down the Brisbane River.

  • Do they deliver to Sydney for free?

      Officeworks will price match

  • Whats the normal price for sand ?

In truth there are two more plentiful sources. The first is what I find in my togs when I return from the coast. The second involves taking my son's shoes off after a day in the Prep sandpit.

I couldn't figure out the wording to post either as a deal :(

    • free at your local beach :D

Not sure if this was meant to be a serious question but last time I went it was about $6.50 for a 20L bag of coarse bedding sand (fill it yourself). Centenary are really great for gardeners looking to make their own potting mix as you can buy small bags instead of cubic metres (about 1 part coarse sand and/or ash - again from Centenary - to 2 parts premium potting mix is great for succulents).
