I picked up a new helmet at my LBS today saw a poster regarding this deal. Trade in an old helmet for 25% off the Giro MIPS range.

So for example:

I posted a deal a while ago and many people were surprised that a cycling helmet could cost up to $300. Anyway - with this deal you can pick up an Australian Standard AS/NZS 2063 helmet which is, by law, mandatory and required by insurance e.g. Cycling Australia (whether racing or not).

Interesting note is that I've noticed Australian helmets are heavier than overseas models (US/EU), with the European helmets being the lightest having owned all three versions of the Aeon.

      I got the Synthe. Been looking at it for a year, finally bought it yesterday :) it looks like bananas, but I like the shape.

      I was surprised its heavier than the Aeon (246 g vs 307 g, both Australia standard), though I read online the MIPS version are about 20 g more.

    If you look at the (quite stupid) differences between the Australian standard and the European standard, you'll understand why ours are nearly always heavier :(

      I brought a Carrera L/XL in this sale, still didn't fit my head.. Sold on Gumtree to a smaller headed guy :) My Giro Aeon fits like a glove!
