Are these flights not inclusive of accommodation and food for the whole stay?
usually but depends on where you've booked. There are deals being listed on websites that may seem cheap but have hidden the costs of the seaplane transfer. Got stung when I went there with the mrs. We both were too busy that we didn't do enough research. hehe.
Apparently you've got to buy a sea plane to.
Getting there is the cheapest part.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Kandooma a couple of years ago. Included speedboat transfer, about $1000 per person in beach front room, breakfast included, 5 nights. Over water rooms obviously more expensive. Food costs are what you would expect from a country that has to import most food. Mains about $30. Nice hotel, plenty of fun for kids. Also great surf.
That is such an open ended question.
The prices go from high to very very high.
I prefer all inclusive myself as each resort is a monopoly and you won't be leaving the island.
Honestly, TripAdvisor will tell you most of what you need to know.
just don't base your trip to the Maldives on these bargain air fare to get you there and back. Do your thorough research. Apart from resort stays… do not forget to include the costs of sea planes :( !
