Bananas 10c/Kg or $1.30 Per 13kg Box - Henry's Mercato - Bayside Shopping Centre Frankston Victoria

600

Today only, bananas are 10c/Kg or buy a 13kg box for $1.30 (one box per customer).

Bananas are good quality, not old or scabby, it's not like they are trying to get rid of old rubbish. Bought 8kg today and only spent 80c

Also strawberres - 3 x 250g punnets are $2.50.

I've always been happy with the consistent quality of this fruit and veg shop, everything is usually of high quality, much better than supermarkets.

Nope, I'll take some to my parents and some to a few friends.

I agree, I wouldn't have bought that many just for me.

Cut them up and freeze them for use in smoothies and shakes, the ripe ones can be used for banana bread.. Mmmm

    • If you place them in a sealed container and put it in the fridge it really slows down ripening.
The sealed container is needed to stop the skin going brown, but the temperature stops them ripening.

Ideal for someone who wants to have a go at making banana wine:

    Noooooooooo
I was just in Franktston. Godamn it, why do I persist in trying not to be rude, and just whip out my phone mid-conversation like everybody else. Then I'd have bananas instead of what I've got now, an empty life full of hollow dreams

  • Do they have plantains there?
