    United jokes in 3, 2, 1…

    • Just imagine if it was a United sale…..That will be just around the corner no doubt.

Based on MY experiences, would still rather fly UA than AA.

Good prices though considering the taxes and charges that you would pay to redeem frequent flyer points via QF

        you must be white
UA wont discriminate you, I'm not racist

        • +1

only racist if its not a white person right.. lol. give me a break. many of the domestic flights in the USA do not actually allocate seats even with your boarding pass. you get a number to board and it's sit where ever you want best effort. stupid outdated system with nonsense like this it's no wonder they can end up in these overbooking predicaments with a bit of poor management. hope the guy is able to sue them, serve them right.

        • JAMESSX- Correct. I am white. However being gay too, I fall into a minority group too. So using your logic, if excessive force is ever used against me, its automatically gay bashing!

      Happy to oblige:

      • Does that include transit to the hospital?
      • Do I get a photo in the newspaper when I'm dragged out and beaten?
      • Is the icepack included in carry on weight allowance?

        you'll need a lawyer
and a bigger house after that too

    What no United deal?
Cmon lift your game…..drag me into a deal!
    Even an Overbooked fare offer?

    • +1

They beat their passengers, not their competitors fares clearly

    OP, title should say Detroit.

      Fixed after Neil's typo :)

Flew American Sydney to LA recently… quite an uncomfortable flight i have to say despite being a relatively new aircraft. Won't be going with them again on that leg.

  • All the way to Miami is a AMAZING deal, rent a car [which i believe is a cheapest state] zoom up to NY and maybe Canada, drive a bit inland and drop of car back to Miami

Next special do the West Coat

    • I believe there are some restrictions on taking cars rented in Florida out of state.

    • You are aware that Miami - NYC is like 2100km? I mean, if you're doing it as a road trip in of itself, great. But it's a long way, and not the ideal way to get to NYC.

FWIW, you can fly from Miami to NYC for ~AUD$150 if someone was planning that.

      • Like Melbourne/Brisbane, done many times.

Its about the journey, not the destination :-)

Wont see any of the other states of USA from a airline seat, if time is not a issue i recommend the car/camper

        • We are looking to hire an rv from west coast and end up in fl in 2 months.

Hey, if you've got the time, awesome.

    • Waste of time. Check the distance.
