      Got the email this morning. Took advantage of the 12 months freebie for VIP status. In 12 months time I will be seriously thinking about renewing; it depends what else I see over the year.

        Went to the show, he is very much the anecdote style of humour - which I quite like rather than a series of "jokes". The audience was a tad on the small side but we all seemed to enjoy ourselves very well. Recommended and thanks to Promotix for the cheapies.

  Probably a better idea to list the names of the comedians rather than the names of their festival shows.

    They're all unknowns who can't fill seats, so won't help many. I fail to see why anyone would pay annual fees to get access to these - Promotix (and the like) is the reject shop of shows, etc.

      Across the Easter Weekend we have made almost all shows available to Standard Members - no joining fee required for Standard Membership status

      Promotix is a marketing tool for events. Throughout the year our offers range from tickets to explore new acts and shows through to tickets to major events and performances. The tickets are released in small numbers to introduce new audiences to a show by providing an affordable opportunity for people to try something new.

        Ignore Gav, there is always one miserable person in a group who doesn't want to look beyond what he already "knows". Promotix is giving me a cheap way of seeing a number of shows during the festival without forking out big dollars. I understand this might be a bit hit and miss but that is what happens when you are prepared to go outside your comfort zone. Thanks

        @Gav: Truth hurts pessimists as well apparently. Get out of your comfort zone and expand your horizons. At $4.95 - $8.95 booking fee for 2 tickets it is a small price to pay to try something different. There are a number of acts where you don't even need to pay the annual fee to book in. Frankly, I am having a nice life and getting out a bit more due to Promotix and Showfilmfirst. I love the fact you are making judgements on acts you haven't even seen - how would you know what they are like? I have taken the plunge and have not been disappointed so far.
