Mobileciti is able to offer the option of purchasing the S8 or S8+ without the Gear VR at a reduced price, as they are not officially participating in the VR promotion via Samsung. This will obviously be of benefit to those that don't need/want the VR and prefer to just have the handset at the cheapest possible price anywhere in Australia for local stock.

      I've had a 128gb Pixel since November, and aside from the micro SD on the S8 there isn't anything that has tempted me to switch. The customer service from Google has been top notch as well; they replaced my phone at no charge when I dropped my phone and cracked the screen!

          I got the phone early November from JB Hifi, dropped it on the 18th of March, jumped onto online chat on the 20th to see if there was a repair centre nearby that they could recommend to repair the smashed screen (I fully admitted I dropped it), they said don't worry about it and there was a courier in my office to collect the broken phone on the 23rd, and a new one arrived at my house on the 30th. No cost to me at all.

      there are lots of mobilecite deals, with pretty good feed back. They also have a bricks and mortar store if that makes you more confident.
      I haven't bought from them but reading feedback on other threads wouldn't be to worried.

      They have a real physical store front in Parramatta. Been to their stores a few times (few times at their nice store front and one time when they moved into an opposite building). Had a warranty issue at one stage (years ago) and returned it within a few days to pay for an upgrade to another phone. All was good after that.

      I remember the days when phones used to cost max $600. An $800 phone seem out of this world. But we have to get with the times. Inflation, currency movements, etc. Then factory goods costing more and more, better work rights for factory workers (rightfully) all costs money.

      I had the LG g5 and it was the shittiest smart phone that I've ever owned. Besides from the fact that the laggy, the battery life was shit (lasted less then a day with minimal usage).

      I contacted LG to see what could be done n was given the runaround. Eventually I had to send it back to their authorised repaired (at my cost) to get the motherboard replace to fix the issue. I eventually goto it back and the battery life was still shit n got a battery replacement which still didn't resolve the issue.

      I gave up and bought a s7 edge which shits all over the g5, n from what I can see they have a service center in most capital cities.

        Agree with Blitzr. Using LG G4 and this is the shittiest phone I've used. It got a screen burn in within the first two weeks, bootlapped, crap battery life and now it randomly clicks onto apps. Just deciding between S8+ or the iphone7.

          Oppps my phone was the G4 like yours not the G5.

          The actual final straw was then it did the well known bootloop and heats up (also claimed warranty). It's been sitting in my draw for about 6mths now.

          If you intend to use the phone without any case, you're bound to have some sort of palm activation issues eventually. But I find that using a case helps a lot. That was my experience with the S7 Edge.

          hmmm no I will use a case for sure. Other half has the S7E but in a folio case with 87 cards and bits of paper and bills and things jammed into it, so it's a bit hard to tell if it has good palm rejection features!

          I might stay away from LGs for awhile, all the bootloop stories are scaring me off.

        Interesting that they quite promptly respond to issues with purchasing and in the same time keep ignoring these two simple questions. Considering that their VR set costs only $88 when everywhere else it is $150-200 and the fact that they don't explicitly call it "VR with Controller" like Samsung does, I would admit they offer VR without Controller (which costs $40USD).

      I spoke to them on the phone. The guy had no idea what he was talking about (which is kinda putting me off buying from this company) but he said he thinks it doesn't come with the credit. Just the VR Headset and remote. Hope this helps.

        Did you get any email notification indicating payment has been accepted and another one with tax invoice? If yes you should be fine. I ordered the Gear S3 on another thread and had the same problem. The order didn't appear in my account. Its only when the item has finally been despatched that it showed up. Weird but if you're not convinced, give them a call or private message them to check your order number.

      Did you say Mobicity or Mobileciti? They're two different stores. Mobicity (now Yatango) are not an authorised Australian distributor, they sell parallel imports.

      Mobileciti is. I've purchased several phones from them and they're all Australian stock.
