  • nice price

  • thats real cheap. just got a toshiba 50hz a week ago for $800. =(

  • I bought the LA40C650 for $1440 about 2 months ago (although that came with a free 5.1 blu-ray system that I don't need). Compared to my old 42" Sanyo, the Samsung picture quality is brilliant!

  • nice price..its 2009 B series tho..how can they stil be selling those new

Apparently lags for FPS gaming. Source: whirlpool.

I had this trouble with the LA40C650 when connected via HDMI (DVI). I think it's because of HDCP. After finding out how useless Samsung support was, I eventually figured out a way of bypassing this problem
I solved it by connecting both a D-Sub connector and HDMI connector. HDCP isn't supported when the video card is cloning the display, and the using the HDMI connection means I still get 1-1 pixel mapping :-)

  • Better wait for End of Year Sales / Xmas sales if you wanna buy current models …

  • If ordering a product marked "Pre-Order", delivery time is open ended and
is entirely dependent on stock availability with out suppliers.

So it could take a looong time to get the TV?

  • yeah it's strange it's preorder for a brand new but older model, does it mean they offered local traders a low price on excess old stock left over from other countries that they can bring in, but first have to asses demand or something?

  • "Product not found!" :(

  • Must be sold out, product not found :(

They probably only had one…if that.

      • no proof. no reason to vote neg.

They claim these 2009 sets are new, but only available by pre-order, which in other words means he doesn't actually have any in-house stock.

Only one person so far - TAN - has said they managed to order & pay for one.

          • @Horizon: Thank you. :)

Just irks me when people put no effort into a negative vote.

  • Anyone able to order 1?
cant seem to find it to buy

  • Product not found!

    Should I neg this?

    • +1

Its been live most of the day, and it did say on the page something like "very limited stock".

I'd still be interested to know if anyone actually bought one, I'm waiting until they are being given away in a packet of cornflakes.

There have been five positive votes since the product was removed.

    Hilarious.

Turd - I reported it about an hour back, so I'm sure it'll be removed soon enough.

    • i think its sold out mate. kinda harsh neg the deal

      • Agreed, probably better off reporting it as Sold Out so a mod can fix the title.

      • +1

my bad, just read up in the wiki not to vote neg just cos its sold out.
