ALDI has a 60 day money back returns policy even on their clearance items so try them out and if they are crap, return them.

I go to ALDI Brunswick a few times a week and have been noting down the specials. You can see the other clearance specials around Australia in that thread and feel free to post your findings. Will check stock levels on later visits during the week(s).

neil, you need to find a deal on a phone with a better camera…

    • +1

Agreed! Unfortunately between trying to be stealthy and carrying groceries, I don't always get the best pic.

      • +1

Screw it, just take a pic. Have they told u off before? Just say ur sending to a mate if he needs one

        • +1

No, they haven't said anything. I've only ever been told off at Costco. The goal is just to make sure I can read the price, what the product is and quantity so I can remember later so not fussed in making a quality photo.

        • @neil: Did Costco give you a reason why they didn't like you taking photos?

        • +3

          @sween64:

Because it would ruin the illusion that there are actually any decent deals at Costco.

        • +1

          @sween64:

Store policy is all they'll say. I think they won't quote prices on the phone as well. All goes to getting people into the stores via memberships.

        • +1

@ameno: There are decent deals, just not normally worth driving an hour to get to your nearest store. And ignore all electronics, they're much cheaper elsewhere.

    +1 for the detailed post!

  • thanks for post

  • its all in the details

  • is this all aldis or just brunswick?

    • +1

Only Brunswick. Clearance stock is different at each store. For example, garden stuff and boat covers are on clearance at Brunswick as the suburb doesn't have many people who own boats and not many gardens (lots of renters, apartments). This wouldn't be the case for a seaside town or suburban stores respectfully.

Damn I need a stand wish it was available in NSW.

    • Me too..

    • Someone please find this in NSW and report back!

    • So that makes 4 of us so far. Can't we plead a favour and combine courier costs? If some of us aren't in Sydney, we can distribute further. I'm sure it will still beat full price….?

    • Me too. Need a paddock stand

    • Neil? Any possibility of us arranging something with you?

      • +1

I think with the weight of these and bulkiness would make shipping expensive. Back to Gumtree or ebay (~48).

      • +1

If it was something small, then no problem. But I'd have to source boxes that are bigger than that and I reckon the postage is going to be a bit pricey. Better off buying one off eBay.

  • What's the matter, Victorians not riding enough motorcycles down there?

    scoffs

  • +1

Another reason to have Aldi in Darwin. Couple of days ago I asked at a local showroom they said $150. 🙃

  • +1

I bought one of those paddock stands, and it's awful. The bolts didn't tighten enough, and the first time I tried to lift my bike the wheels fell off after the arms twisted.

    • +1

It can't be that bad. Or you lifted something above its weight capacity by chance?

      • I'm pretty sure a 190kg KLR isn't above its weight limit.

  • Thanks for the post! Top job.

  • .
Thanks neil that kd2 web site showing previous Aldi specials is a really great site to look through the Aldi junk mail we throw out but
later on can't remember something we saw and want to refresh our memory as often Aldi will repeat items on special a 2 or 3 times a year

    http://offers.kd2.org/en/au/aldi/

    definitely worth bookmarking !

  • Just did a stock check.

11 left of the paddock stands.

  • About 10 or so left as of about half an hour ago.

Didn't count, about chest height anyway. Bargain, cheers.

  • Only 1 of those pumps left too, was almost gonna buy it but came to my senses. Haha
