Wasting Ur time… Site is crashing… They will surely cancel this one… Bing Lee rarely give a proper bargain.

  • lol you reckon the S8 + will also be 15 percent off? Urghh, I actually want to buy this other thing on Bing Lee at full price, and now the site keeps on crashing because of the 15 percent off deal. Whyyyy Bing Lee! I can't believe I'm saying this but I don't want a discount!! lol

Thanks for the post, I've been ummming and arring for a while on this and finally decided to pull the trigger on, as my 10 yo single boiler Breville is starting to break down. I'm just worried that is going to be too big but I'll make it work.

Thanks for posting a great deal. My brother was looking for a coffee machine and bought this one as a result of this post.

  • I love espresso, but have settled with a Nespresso machine, because to me the overhead of having a full machine is too much. i.e. the setup and cleaning for my one morning coffee would be 5-10 minutes. Anyone have experience with these and how to use it efficiently? Genuinely interested.

I bought one from the DJ deal the other week along with the smartgrinder. Never had any sort of coffee machine before, I was the blend 43 person. After getting the hang of making the coffee/foamed milk, it tastes awesome. But to answer your question, I am sure you go from making the nespresso to drinking it in about 60 seconds whereas this way (all manual) 5 mins or so yep. Plus you need to wipe down/rinse/clean the steam wand, portafilter, milk jug. Its a bit of a hassle but the taste, the aroma in the kitchen, the fact that I am not contributing extra to landfill with the little capsules..yea I'll deal with it. All in all, very happy with it. ( I must say it looks pretty impressive on the bench and lots of compliments from friends)

      • Thanks for the response. The aroma of brewing from freshly ground beans is really something else, I agree. I might look into it, I generally have a straight espresso in the morning so i might be able to reduce the time for cleaning the milk related stuff for when i'm in a rush. Nespresso have a pod recycling service, but for sure its still not good to use so much plastic.

      "settled with a Nespresso"

You need to stop there and say no more. This machine or anything which resembles good coffee will never be for you. If good coffee could be had from any pod machine, automatic or super automatic machine then a cafe wouldn't hire a barista at $35 an hour.

It takes between 250-500 years for a coffee pod to break down once disposed. You're drinking terrible coffee and leaving your rubbish around for years which are beyond sustainable. Congrats.

      • I'm not going to respond to your hilarious assumptions about me and what my coffee preferences are, I'm guessing you are having a really bad day or something, to respond ad hominem with so much salt to an ozbargain comment asking for peoples experiences (read the other reply to see how normal people respond).

But the environmental point could be fair, although I recycle my pods through the manufacturer, so no landfill, but yes, still less than ideal (like the flavour).

Hope the rest of your day is better :)

    Bought one. Thanks

  • I have received a confirmation from Bing Lee regarding my order and my credit card had been charged. However I have not received a dispatch confirmation. Has any of you who ordered received dispatch confirmation?
