10 cents off Coles petrol should almost make them competitive.

    • Not for 10c
They might be competitive if you use all three offers and get 24c off

      • True, and you gotta be very careful on what you buy in-store, most items are jacked up & could easily eat up your savings on petrol.

        • True … I don't buy anything other than milk/bread/toilet roll

  • Lately Shell price are so much higher than Caltex.

I've received this offer for the past 2 weeks and each time have activated it and used it. In Perth, Monday is generally the cheapest day of the week and with the 10cpl discount I have ended up paying 105.9cpl for ULP. I haven't shopped at Coles in ages so didn't have any 4cpl docket to combine, but 105.9c is pretty good IMO.

    • I received it last week and again this week. I used it the first time to get the insane Bunbury petrol price down to 115.9c, but I don't need to fill up again this week. I normally try to fill up at Woolworths where I can 4c off plus 5% off from discounted Wish cards. I also try to fill up when I'm up in Perth every few weeks where the price actually changes, unlike Bunbury where it is fixed on 129.9c.

I grew up in Bunbury so I know exactly how you feel. When I lived there, it was pretty much a solid 10cpl higher than Perth and virtually no competition around town, with Myles (Shell) always being about 4cpl higher than everyone else. They've sold everything to Coles Express now but it seems that every servo in town just coordinates with each other to price fix the market, it's completely crazy.

I remember fuel being cheaper down in Busselton on a regular basis than it was in Bunbury.

        • Noel Brunning has done a couple of articles about it, calling out the service stations and asking why it's cheaper in places like Manjimup than Bunbury, but nothing has changed.

        • @puffinfresh:

          lol
I don't think the fuel stations care who Noel Brunning is, they only care about profit.

  • Around me it looks like coles and woolworths/bp stopped doing the price cycle after Christmas and are very often around 15 cents per litre higher than the other fuel retailers during the low. I've stopped getting fuel from them. 711 or independent for me now.

  • Logged into Flybuys, no offer seen. Just old 10c offer which ended 27th April. Local Shell so much higher prices even discount not worth going.

Got two offers in two weeks. Activated and Bought.
Didnt get it this time round..

    back to Puma..

  • Definitely targeted. I've checked my FlyBuys offers every day this week and I haven't seen it yet. Would love to get this one!

  • So cut didn't get this.

  • Damn! I would've liked this. Missed out on the free toilet paper wipes and now this :(

  • Yeah, didn't get it here either…

Used this 2 weeks ago trouble was all the other servos were 10c cheaper so was a waste of time

  • No matter what the offer is, you should always do a price check on a comparison site (eg. Petrol Spy) first.

In Canberra you almost always find that being near the airport (Majura) gets you a so much better price per litre… :-)

  • Got this offer over the last two weeks but didn't get it this week

Just went to fuelwatch WA and there are some 250 petrol stations cheaper than the cheapest Coles express in the Perth metro region. With the cheapest being 18 cents a litre cheaper !! They used to often be some of the cheapest petrol stations, now as others have said are usually the most expensive.

    • Coles seems to be factoring the discount into their price. BP used to be the most expensive when it comes to fuel, now it seems that Coles Express is, and even with their 10c+4c and whatever discounts they are the most expensive around.
