You can use this link to price match :) Save 90 bucks

Harvey's dont like to price match, but long interest free periods are worth $90 more

        • +1

But don't you usually pay more overall. The fine print regarding the interest free period says "Total estimated price $2742.50"…

@mossfrog: $5 Monthly fee plus $25 starting fee… Bit off to offer Interest Free loans and then add fees.

        • +1

They're not interest free - they charge $5 per month to hold the loan.
So a five year "interest free" deal actually costs you $300. It's a scam.

@Nom: Still cheaper then credit card interest over similar period or personal loan

    • If you got a GEM Visa card, its Available on 50 Interest Free payments.

      • +1

GEM used to be an okay card but now that they charge a 95 cent fee every time you use Bpay to pay money off the card. You can pay by direct debit for free but you can only do that once every 5 days and if you do pay that way it takes the day you pay it plus 3 extra days for that money to clear. And this is on top of the $99 annual fee

        • Why do you want to pay it every 5 days?? I just pay once every month and use it only for these kind of deals and also you get instant 6 month interest free for ANY transaction over $250.So even if you get a large heating bill in the winter for example this can be used. Worth the $99 fee in my opinion.

    • What is good about Harvey's warranty? Or you just mean using the warranty would be easier in a store vs online?

      • If it breaks they refund you the price you paid. I had that with a few products before their warranty expiry. Officeworks do it now as well, not sure about JB tho

        • Wow that sounds terrific. I couldn't find anything about it on their website though.

        • @psdillon: Its part of their productcare warranty

        • @asa79: On the site it says "New for Old Replacement", nothing about refunds: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/customer-service/product-care…

        • @psdillon: Hardly Normal product care; don't believe their BS about full refunds ,if they can source a new replacement cheaper than what you paid, they will only give you instore credit for the lesser amount

        • @Beach Bum: Yeah it sounds like dodgy brothers verbal warranty. Whatever the floor sales people say to get the sale.

Though, a few years ago I bought a $5k TV from Costco when they had the "lifetime satisfaction guarantee", which promised a full refund if you ever become dissatisfied with the product during it's expected lifetime. The lifetime bit is so vague that it amounts to nothing, but at least it was on their website at the time. And I rate Costco more trustworthy than HN.

  • Got it for $2350 over the weekend from JB. Factory seconds available from Sony EBay for $2071 with 20% off code.
