        • @CoreElectronics:

When are you expecting your next shipment of the standard Zero's?

        • @cheepo: Both models are now in stock.

Received my 2x Pi Zeros today. Awesome!

    • +3

Received my zero and zero w today. Much smaller than I was expecting!

Late to the party but thanks. Purchased a RPi-Zero W and a case :)

    • Did ya pay extra for shipping or was them same as price in title?

It is showing up as $3 for shipping when added to the cart.

      • Oh! It is as in the title… I need some sleep it seems! :-O

      • I purchased the same and was charged $5 for postage.

      • Sorry for the late reply but looks like you found your answer.
Was $3 shipping for the RPi Zero W and another $2 shipping for the case but got $1.99 off for the case. So really it was free shipping for the case.

@CoreElectronics a little off topic, but is emailing the login details (email and password) in plain-text for all new account registrations an intended feature of your system? If so, what is the rationale behind this behaviour?

  • hey rep, I ordered this deal on 03/05/2017 but haven't received anything yet. I'd appreciate if you could have a look. Order # 100053042

    • +1

I too have yet to recieve anything. :(

      • That's strange, I ordered on 13th May and got it delivered 17th May. May be it is best to raise it through their site.

        • +1

Still haven't received anything and the rep is not responding in this thread. I'll try to call their office. This is strange as I believe I ordered pretty early.

    • We've already reached out to you by the email provided for that order. Perhaps check your inbox (and junk)

  • expecting any more Raspberry Pi Zero stock?

  • Does anyone have a list of useful things this type of device can be used for?

    • I am going to try to install pi hole on it. I also might make a small battery powered wifi security cam for monitoring the inside of a horse float via mobile/tablet whilst on the move.

  • Got my Zero W today. Cheers OP. Can't justify an OEM case that almost costs as the Zero so off to eBay.

  • Ordered one :) Did want to get an Odroid but got one of these instead

I still have neither (Raspberry Pi Zero Wireless and Raspberry Pi Zero) delivered to me yet:

    Hi,

Thanks for your recent order. Our resupply for Pi Zero 1.3 (non-wireless version) has been delayed by at least two weeks. According to our records you have an order which is affected by this.

There are some options on the table:

    1. If you would like to wait (2 - 3 weeks), then no action is required (don’t reply to this email).

    2. If you would like to cancel and be refunded for the Pi Zero (non-wireless), then reply with “option 2”. If you have other products on your order then we will dispatch them. If not, you’ll just get a refund.

    3. For those with other bits on their affected order - If you would like your WHOLE order refunded then reply “option 3”.

Please choose one of the above options, note that “waiting” requires no reply. Please only use the email assigned to your order (the one we have reached you on) to respond).

NOTE – Pi Zero W (Wireless) we have stock IF you already ordered it. This is email is just regarding the non-wireless version.

    Regards,
    Graham Mitchell

I didn't see an option to send the item they do have in stock, so I have neither yet.

    • Also haven't received mine, I cancelled the Pi Zero and just kept the Zero W, it was apparently posted 18/5 in an envelope with no tracking. Emailed their support today and they asked me to wait until the end of the week and then contact AusPost, which they obviously know is a huge waste of time and a dead end.

      • @XeKToReX

Graham here (founder of Core Electronics). Sorry to hear your order is taking it's time.

Nothing is going to undo the frustration of a couple in ten thousand stamped mail orders taking longer than normal. If we had -any- method of tracking it then we would engage it. It's worth noting that we did put our heart on our sleeve and offered 3 methods of shipping at the time of your ordering:

$3 Australia Post Economy (3-7 Days, No Tracking/Insurance/Signature)
$6.95 Parcel Post (2-5 Days, Tracked)
$8.32 Express Post (1-2 Days, Tracked)

…. it doesn't get much clearer than that!

There is no tracking available for the $3 method… it's stamped mail. And out of a few thousand orders a couple have taken the long route with Australia Post. Almost all of those which did run into issues have since been delivered despite well-beyond normal delivery times with Australia Post.

If tracking or insurance is/was mission critical, then please choose a tracked service. Our terms mean what they say. We don't gouge on shipping, and it would greatly help our support team with these edge cases if you choose a shipping method that aligned with your needs (especially in the unlikely event of a worst case scenario).

        • Hi Graham,

Mine turned up today, revoked my neg but can't edit my post.

          Cheers!

      @Sydney Guy

The back story on the Pi Zero (non-wireless) that haven't shipped: our website was punished so heavily with traffic that Magento (our eCommerce software) had a mild breakdown. We oversold 24 units of Pi Zero (non-wireless) and stopped the sale of them as soon as we discovered the issue.

At no stage were Pi Zero Wireless boards affected by this.

Given where we are at, an email will be sent to all 24 people tonight (I am preparing it now) with an update and an offer to refund the Pi Zero straight up if they prefer. You are welcome to wait in-line for a guaranteed Pi Zero (non-wireless) or get that cash to good use. The option is entirely yours. Rest assured we want to make this right.

      • I don't presume mine is lost (like XeKToReX), I presume neither has been sent yet (no email has been sent to me saying that they have been sent). It would have been nice if the item that was in stock was sent to me instead of still waiting for both to be sent at once (I didn't see any option for that and still don't see that option).

        • +1

Understood, and there are two conversations within the same thread (hence I addressed each reply to each person).

Go ahead and hit reply to the email I sent to you 5 minutes ago, requesting a refund. I'll even process it tonight. That way you can place an order for a Pi Zero Wireless and we can get that shipped tomorrow for you. Choose express post, and you'll have it by Monday if you are in the next day network for Australia Post.

        • FYI - Mine arrived (Melb)

      • "At no stage were Pi Zero Wireless boards affected by this."
That maybe the case, but the shipping of the wireless version to me hasn't happened and the earlier email stated 2 or 3 weeks which was now up, hence the negative vote as a month is nearly up and no item shipped at all to me.

        • +1

Noted, and it's a cruddy situation. We did offer to make this right by refunding those affected as soon as we understood the full situation (which occurred the Tuesday following the launch).

You are not locked into this order, hit reply to my email, your order will be refunded. Split shipping is not on the table. Never has been. We've been upfront from the beginning with various ways forward and are here to action whatever of those methods best suits your needs, immediately.

Does anyone know if they'll be orderng more Raspberry Pi Zero? Been waiting for a month and checking this post pretty much daily.

    • +1

Yep - and the "More stock arriving in a week" notice on the product page has been there for almost as long. I tried asking the OP further up above but my question went unanswered.

      • We were working with the intel we had at the time. Great news though, both models are in stock.

  • +1

where is the new stock?? been more than a week

    • -1

I'm still waiting for my order from early May, I had an email from them mid May stating "The parts are available via our other warehouse and we'll have them a few days. We'll keep you updated." well a few days have come and gone, a whole month actually. What happened to the item being available in the other warehouse? Phantom stock? Porkies?
An email before that stated " If you would like to wait (2 - 3 weeks), then no action is required (don’t reply to this email)."
And a more recent email dated the 1st of June "I’ve had a reply from the Raspbery Pi Foundation that our stock will dispatch next week, which puts us on 14th of June for more Pi Zero (non-wireless)."
Apparently I am just one of 24 people who never got what they ordered "We oversold 24 units of Pi Zero (non-wireless)"
"Split shipping is not on the table." which is what I wanted as I still don't have ANYTHING that I ordered, including what they do have in stock. They state I can cancel the order, how about I get what I ordered 1.5 months ago.

"We've been upfront from the beginning with various ways forward and are here to action whatever of those methods best suits your needs, immediately."
What suits my needs would be for you to send what you do have in stock and stop pretending that you are being helpful when you wont even send the rest of the order of what you do have in stock. What would be helpful if you kept to the dates that the various email have stated.

I certainly won't be using this company again as they won't send what they do have in stock to me.

      • ok then am off buying from ebay, did my best to support oz based fellows

      • mine also hasn't come yet =\

      • Agreed, shouldn't have happened in the first place. But, we've been upfront the entire time.

GREAT news though; the 24 people that were affected with outages have had their orders dispatched earlier this week. Which would be yours as well "Sydney Guy" if you didn't engage any of our other offers.

Tens of thousands of Zero's shipped. 24 issues which we offered full refunds for. At least we were straight to the point, and offered methods of resolution from the beginning.

  • +1

It is back in stocks now guys I didn't get an email for some reason.

    • If you had a back order which you didn't engage our offer for a refund then it was dispatched earlier this week.

      • Great thanks
