ive been looking at the forerunner 35 for the missus which is about $249…how does this compare? She will just use it whilst running to track without her phone.

  Biggest consideration is HRM:
  Optical on 35
  Strap on 630
  Another big one is screen, colour vs monochrome
  The look makes a difference for some people too
  Also when I last checked there was nowhere to buy replacement straps for 35. This may have changed
  There are less menu items in 35 too

  Depends on what u like . I tried S3, loved it but found it heavy as compared to 235 or 630.
