    • Exactly why I moved to Kogan and saved money.

I'm not interested in data, only unlimited calls and texts including 1300 and 1800, and this is the best deal I can find.

Vodafail network useless for me. I'd prefer Telstra network but Optus is ok for the most part.

looks like a reasonable deal - im about to loose my work phone so on the look out.

just to clarify the plans note 'standard numbers in oz' - guessing this means all standard landline and mobile numbers?

    thanks

  • Considering this myself as my plan is almost finished with my current provider.

    Lebara have a 5gb 12 month deal for 200
    Kogan is 5gb for 209

Given that Vaya is known for their terrible customer service, why should you go with Vaya over the other two deals, which give more data at the $200 tier?

fair call and are better deals I guess.

only thing is can see is kogan/lebara are Vodafone which is a deal breaker for me personally re: coverage.

      • Yep. same. I had bad coverage with Vodafail a few years ago. Won't be using their service or network. Although the plans for Kogan and Lebara are definitely better in price, vodafail is the let down.

Vodaphone coverage in rural areas is non existent on the northern areas of NSW :(
Really not happy with the ungratefulness of loyalty shown to existing customers, as i too have been with Vaya since they changed over from Live Connected…
        Bad Form

    • Depends where you are Dinna, is Voda coverage ok in your area?

I personally think Kogan is great and price is even better and can save more from referral and discounted gift cards.

I'll keep my $20 for the security deposit thanks

  • @vaya Store rep, how do I access online chat ?! need to discuss something.

Unlimited plans with unlimited charges for data are not good enough.

Kogan and Lebara (both on Vodafone) simply cease the data connection once the allotted data on their 12 month plans is exhausted.

If you have kids - these are not safe plans.

Sorry, you get a NEG, because you don't seem interested, your on-line chat is not available, and you are not helping existing customer.

    • Agreed, unfortunately Vaya is not the value company it used once to be.

  • no favor for existing customers so negged too.

    • Move to Kogan mate and save.

      • moved on already.

  • I was with vaya for 4 years. I bought a new phone that needed a smaller sim, they wanted to charge me $40 for it so I looked around at the prices offered by other providers. Ported out and never looked back.

  • I rarely neg deals … probably the 2nd time ever. I'm not even a customer. But to lay a crap on existing customers in this way deserves a neg.

    • No love for existing customers. Pathetic…

May be just me but wouldn't all telco's or other service providers for that matter act in the same manner to attract new members? Ala isp's / health insurers etc etc? By offering promotions to new customers only?

Is the issue you have all paid up front for 12 months now want a better deal or are you on month to month and want a better ongoing price point?

    • if your that upset couldn't you conceivably opt out for another provider on similar month-to-month for a short period then come back if the savings are that good on this promotion?
    • I am on Month to Month.

"opt out for another provider on similar month-to-month for a short period then come back"
Or couldn't Vaya just save us the pain, and agree on locking us in for 12 month like new customer, I mean, we are kind of new customer, going from month to month, to 12 Month contract.

Was on chat, and that's how things are.

Ok, each to their own I guess. As I said Doesn't seem to dissimilar to other industries from my personal exp - health insurance, ISPs,
Getflix etc but agree a rollover option would be nice.

Just noted allot of neg because of this issue, not the deal itself that's all but it is worth raising.

  • "Any feedback is welcome."

Straight down the toilet with the comments.

    Tough crowd lol.

    • Tough and tight… Not exactly a marketers dream are we ;-)

  • I think Lebara current offer is better.

Lebara is on Vodafone network and Vaya is Optus. Both offers Unlimited Calls and SMS but Lebara is better with extra 2 GB of Data and also Upto 250 Min of international calls (and $10 cheaper)

With Vaya, there are no international calls and also with Kogan. Of course packs are available but that jacks up the prices and makes them expensive.

This link says the deal expires in 5 days.

    • Yep, Vaya is no longer the cheapest in this field.

    • Kogan is better, you can stack with referral & discounted gift cards.
