Remember to use GBP and buy on the asos.com domain when purchasing if you have a no-fee card as there is some price discrepancy.

E.g ASOS PLUS Super Skinny Jersey Blazer in Navy $88.17 using GBP

$99 Here on the Australian Website using AUD

    • +1

Yes saved quite a bit using GBP. Thanks.

    • then how to pay for better rate? paypal or debit card?

    • Legend! Had no idea, bought so much from them over the years.
~$170aus, but then remembered your comment last second so switched to GBP so was $107gbp ($150aus), $20 in conversion fees from them is insane! Paypal wanted $157 as it defaulted to convert it (it never has before) but changed it there again to GBP and yeah $150aus charged to bankwest zero card… wonder how many velocity points then if paid in GBP via the velocity estore and not in AUD.

Thanks so much for this tip. I'd been waiting for a code to buy a $110AUD coat from there and in GBP it's only $96. Which brings it down to $77 with the 20% off. It is a good day in ozbargaining.

edit: oops, this should've been a reply to doweyy.

        • +1

Glad I could help, I'll keep updating all new ASOS deals to show the price discrepancy to help people such as yourself get the best bargain!

  • Does this stack with the student code?

    • no

    • Only one code can be used at a time.

  • +1

    Doesn't include outlet products!

    • Yeah it sucks, was hoping to knock off a few more $$$

    • Hi! I just tried adding items from outlet and the discount worked for me on the total…

  • Faaark just placed an order 3 hours ago. No longer in cancellable stage.

    • +1

Wouldn't it be worth the free return and ordering again?

      • +1

I can vouch for their free returns system, it's spot on. They sent the wrong pair of pants without tags and took them back without a hassle. Basically free shipping on the hat I bought with it.

        • As sizes change between brands, reckon I'm ok buying 2 different sizes of the same item (suit jacket) and then sends back the one that doesn't fit (or both if they don't)? They don't allow exchanges, on,y refunds, so want to take advantage of this deal.

        • @ptrg: It's up to you + where you stand on your ethics, for a 24 hr sale you'd probably want to ensure the stuff you buy has a good fit.

I'd try to avoid exploiting the nice service they provide; imagine the labour cost with everyone else doing this…

        • +1

@Baebs: As someone who has bought from them for many years, they literally have an option for that in the reasons for the return. They do not have a problem with people doing this. Obviously as an online retailer they're understanding in that things purchased online mightn't necessarily fit/suit you - hence why they are offering such return services.

          They're a huge company. Don't forget that.

        • @Munki: true, scrap what I said.

  • The email I received states full price items only?

    • Hi :) I added some items from outlet and it worked with the code. Hope that helps!

  • +3

are you effin kidding me. I wanna save some money… oh doesn't work on sale items

  • +2

DOES NOT INCLUDE OUTLET. Wasted 30 minutes picking stuff only to find out at checkout.

    • +1

Strange…I just added a top from outlet together with a full price item and got 20% off total.

      • +2

I've just tried to do that and the discount was applied only on the full price item and not on the outlet one.

        • +1

That is so strange and sucks.

Not to labour the point but i added these two items from outlet to test and got $6.8 off the total of $34.

@Honeyjoys: Hmm! I think I've figured out what the issue is here. Upon clicking on the two links you've provided here I've realized that "GET 20% OFF - USE CODE: POW24" line was written on top of each item, whereas it wasn't on the items I was trying to buy. Then it has occurred to me to change both the currency AND country back to Australia and the code appeared on each item. For anyone who couldn't get the code to work with discounted items, try that trick and good luck. :)

PS: It seems all you need to do is change the country back to Australia and you can still buy stuff with GBP.

  • the ones on sale is not included, wasted my time

  • +1

Thank you! Picked up some NMDs, plus put it in GBP. So cheap!

  • +2

PS: For those who couldn't get the code to work with discounted items, try to change the country back to Australia (sometimes when you change the currency, also the country tends to change into the country of that currency) and see if that works. That did it for me.

    • TF! Not working again. Enjoy for those it worked for.

      • It works if you go onto asos.com (the UK store, not AU). Just gotta open up an incognito window or clear cache.

        • Will try that when I get back home. Ta

        • Nope! Even incognito mode on Chrome couldn't work. Never mind. Will wait for another sale deal.

        • @AussieDaddy:

That's weird, it worked fine for me. Possibly only certain items as well.

  • +1

There was a period where you could not change the currency to GBP when your country was set to Australia, but you could when you changed countries to UK. This has been amended and could possibly be the reason the code isn't working for some on sale items.

  • Can someone please explain the need to use GBP?

    A pair of Adidas Gazelle's $120 - 20% = $96AUD
    In GBP 75 - 20% = 60GBP (Approx $105 AUD)

Excludes any cashback but I can't see the need to use GBP.

    • problem is their rate, not yours. it is 60 gbp on asos website, not 75 when you change the currency.

    • +1

Most of the products need the GBP exchange but there are a few like the gizelle's that don't. It would be better if you did AUD in this case. It's worth checking though.

      • This. Some products end up more expensive in GBP/EUR/RUB etc than in AUD, so you have to check on an item-by-item basis.

[edit] Heh just noticed they removed a lot of the currencies, so there's only 3 left to choose from now.

  • Someone please tell me what's the difference if I pay in GBP?
And does this end 5PM on Thursday Australian time?

    • just basically compare two products in both currencies and you will find out the difference. but make sure you are not paying any extra charges for paypal or international exchange rate by your credit card.

  • White Birkenstock Arizona Sandals - $21.60 pounds = $38 AUS
    http://www.asos.com/au/birkenstock/birkenstock-arizona-sanda…

Black Birkenstock Arizona Sandals - $21.60 pounds = $38 AUS
    http://www.asos.com/au/birkenstock/birkenstock-arizona-sanda…

    • Looks like they've jacked the prices up now. Those sandals are showing - £27.32 = $54 for me now before the discount.

      • +2

        What are those!!

      • The $21.60 was with the the discount

  • Doesnt work for my leather jacket

  • I would recommend checking a tool like this rather than just switching to GBP

    http://www.codesium.com/asos-price-checker/

    • Thanks, I will put that in the post to help people out rather than the GBP idea.

  • Thank you, put in an order for The Ordinary skincare which is usually never discounted.

  • Ah great bought more crap i done need thanks OP

  • The code doesn't work on all items.

    • worked on all the items i did

  • I've given up on buying clothes online - it's just too hard to find stuff that fits properly. No point getting a huge discount if you're not happy with the product.

Looking at the upvotes though maybe I am in the minority?

    • No, you are not minority. I always find it hard to get a proper size online.

  • Thanks OP, bought some shorts and jeans as well as a watch for my brother.
