First Post. Received an email about 2xu click frenzy with 50-70% off selected compression and more.

Best deal for me is the compression tights in the burnt orange for $50. I bought two pairs about a year ago for $98 delivered. http://www.2xu.com/au/p/compression-tights/MA1967b-NVY_TCO-X…

Most other compression tights are $70 (down from $145), including 'elite' and 'recovery' - they usually go for $185 and $195 respectively. Lots of sizes. Pretty sure COTD had the regular tights at $80.

The wetsuits seem to have the best savings.

Free shipping.

Normal 10% off first order is not applicable to Click Frenzy sale. Thanks cam83

Are the elite ones worth it over the non-elite?

    • A whole lot tighter around the calves. Would not go back to regular ones.

      • Agree. Elite is better

        • +1

Damn, wanted the elite but only has my size in the tall variant, which I think I'd be wearing like socks. Had to go regular compression tights. Hopefully they're still good for cycling!

        • @ZJack: Are you wearing them over knicks?

        • @gazza88:
Assuming you mean undies then yeah?

        • @ZJack: Undies? Wearing only compression tights or with underwear is not recommended since the materials and seams are likely to cause chafing over long periods. Best to wear them over cycling knicks with chamois if you do use them. IMO, compression tights don't provide any performance benefit while cycling. They just keep you a little warmer. Sleeping with compression tights on provides more benefits for most people i know

been waiting a while for this sign up 10% voucher to arrive now…

    • Can stack with 10% off?

      • +1

I don't know. I never received a newsletter voucher gave up waiting after 10 minutes trying with 2 different emails. I had a 10% voucher popup though (CHECKOUT10), but it wouldn't stack for me. Ended up ordering the navy/orange for $50 free shipping. Finally some outlet 2XU in good size selection.
EDIT: voucher finally arrived to work email, but wouldn't apply to discount items

        • ok thanks for the edit confirmation i wont bother to register (again).

  • I ve been waiting for the elite compression top to be on sale. Seems they re never included in any sale.

  • +2

damn it, they have the elites in every single size except for S

    • +1

Small and Med are only available it the Tall version.

    • +1

According to the measurement guide I'm a Small. But i still fit in XS perfectly fine

      • The height is fine but its mainly the weight I'm concerned about. XS ends at 60 and I'm around 70

  • +2

Is there much difference between the 'Elite' vs 'Recovery'?

    • +1

Recovery compression uses a much firmer material, providing compression to all areas of your leg.
Elite compression targets your glutes, hamstrings and calves. The rest of your leg is compressed with a less firm fabric.
All around compression vs, targetted compression.
All around compression is less useful for activity as it can lessen flexibility, but is useful for recovery, hence the name, because it provices greater coverage for increase blood circulation

Please dont be the guy in the gym wearing tights without shorts. Please. Dont.

    • +11

Please don't police my fashion choices, body shame me or assume my gender.

    • +1

Seriously, what's wrong with wearing tights with shorts in the gym? You're wearing tights because you're training hard, and you're considerately wearing shorts to cover up your junk. Everyone wins.

    • +5

they look more ridiculous than without IMO.

and i bet you don't have the same problem with women.

      double standards.

so get used to my bulge.

      • -1

Lol, go away with your bulge mate, no one wants to see it.

      • -1

It's because cheap brands of tights become see through when stretched. No one wants to see your dick/balls/anus.

        • Why are you looking at guys' crotches in the gym?

        • @eug: It's not about looking at peoples crotches. If someone crosses your line of sight with their cock/tits out then you are obviously going to notice it.

        • +2

@Jhonka: yet, no-one seems to complain about the tits.

        • +2

          @Jhonka:

It's not about looking at peoples crotches. If someone crosses your line of sight with their cock/tits out then you are obviously going to notice it.

So… you're also against women wearing fitted tops?

I do get where you're coming from, I just think you can decide your own reaction to it. A guy working out in tights isn't a big deal IMHO, just like a girl in a fitted top. I don't have to react negatively just by seeing an outline. If I see someone breastfeeding in public, I don't stare, I just ignore it and move along.

        • @eug: I think you are missing the point. I'm talking about cheap tights that become completely SEE THROUGH when stretched.

        • @Jhonka: OK, I must say I've never seen tights that become see-through when stretched. In any case, 2XU ones don't become see-through when stretched.

        • @Jhonka: maybe it's not the tights, maybe it's cos some people are too fat. BURN.

        • @insular:
dastardly pranksters swapped items from the hosiery section to activewear again

    • +5

Hmm, it never really bothered me as I don't really stare at guys crotches, in the gym or not.

I would have thought the gym would be one of the places where you shouldn't be surprised if someone wore tights.

    • +6

i also get the impression that there may be some closet homosexuals or homophobes that are seriously bothered by seeing another man in tights. i mean, if you're absolutely sure of your sexual orientation and/or comfortable with your body image it shouldn't be an issue. same with speedos at the beach. if it really bothers you THAT much, maybe you should look at why this is the case.

alternatively, maybe those feelings of anger are contributing to your own insecurities. or you feel threatened by a larger bulge or significantly more well defined glutes than your own.

or you're just a narcissistic psychopath.

don't hate, buy some 2xu tights, and hit the gym instead!

and also try visiting a nude beach sometime. it's liberating.

    • the more pertinent question is: do gals/guys wear undies underneath tights.
Significant difference between "bulge" and cameltoe or pair of plums

  • thanks OP, got the blue/orange tights

This is more for Info sake………

I had a pair about 2 years ago and did the job until my dog decided to use it as a toy.

My issue is sore knees and calves thanks to years of Rugby.

Wife said why not try women's tights (Like in pantyhose tights) as compression wear sometimes is to hot and expensive. Well, after a lot of convincing and ready online post I decided to give it a go. I can say it really works for me and it's a cheap alternative.

I also have a pair of 2XU but only use them for gym.

    • +1

I don't understand this. Are you saying women's silk stockings work just as well as compression tights?

      • It works well without the price tag.
Not as good but it does the job

      • +2

LOL, and I thought I was cheap using the Aldi compression wear. Womens pantyhose is a new level!

          takes one to see one.

  • It's it just me or does anyone else read "huge% off selected items" as "crap, will someone please just but the crud that no one wants"?

    • +1

Or is just priced way too high originally!

  • +3

Can I buy these and just pretend I work out? It's half the battle, right?

  • i can understand sizes S or M or L BUT WHAT the heck is ST OR MT OR LT?

    • +3

      click the size guide and:

Sizes ST, MT, LT, XLT and XXLT denote Tall sizes. These sizes are longer in the length and rise only; with the exception of mid-rise compression where only the length of the garment is longer. Rise is the distance from the crotch to the top of the waistband.

    • T is for tall, means extra length. For lanky people.
      http://www.2xu.com/au/size-guides.html?lang=en_AU

  • Cheers. Bought couple of shorts. Nice to find a sale where Medium is still available.

  • +1

What's the difference between elite vs recovery? Is the elite better suited for colder weather? Cheers.

    • Elite more compression recovery for recovery

  • any news as to when this frenzy ends?

  • thanks op

  • So what makes it worth $150ish in the first place? Does it tone your legs and make them sexy?

    • Less sore in the morning after hard exercises. I'm talking about serious sport like 2 hours basketball. Not walk in the park with dog.

  • Has anyone received any shipping notifications / received theirs?

    • got mine. shipped pretty quick and overnight from melb to adl.

  • Ordered on the 17th, still not shipped yet.

  • In the same boat, ordered on 15 May, not shipped yet. Is there a telephone contact for them? Nothing on the invoice.

    • I emailed them twice over the last few days. No response.

Finally messaged them on Facebook and they responded within an hour!

They said they were experiencing delays in shipping.

I asked them to cancel my order and they promptly did so and refunded my money. All good as it was an impulse buy anyway.

  • Mine arrived quite quickly once it was shipped. There were delays though due to the number of buyers.
