Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 around The Ear Bluetooth Wireless Headphones - $422.75 Delivered @ Wireless1 eBay

80
C50Z

Just got an email about these, this is the cheapest I've seen these headphones, I purchased them while in the US for $350USD ($470AUD) 6 months ago, deals like this will kill my resale value on the unit!

—-NB listing says limited quantity available, hopefully it's enough for me to not be breaching deal posting guidelines—-

Quick Overview
Hi Resolution & Deep Reaching | Luxurious Leather | Brushed Stainless Steel | Bluetooth® wireless technology and NoiseGard Hybrid active noise cancellation

-Only real negatives I've experienced with these headphones are that the noise cancelling can't be turned off unless using passively with the included 3.5mm cable

  • apparently 99 in stock.

    • Not 18 of them, and weighing in at around 5.8kg combined?

  • I do want these, any idea why theyre taking big price cuts lately? Maybe a new model coming out?

Before the inevitable Qc35 questions start rolling in, no these dont have as good noise cancellation as the bose, but sound quality is above and beyond

    • Go for the Sony MDR-1000x if you want both

These are the 'over-ear' variant, right? Not the 'on-ear'?

    • +2

Yes around the ear= over ear

Bought one late last year from wireless1 for $463 after 20% ebay discount + 100 cashback from Sennheiser, total out of pocket for me $363.

Really good pair of headphones , excellent sound quality and great battery life ! and it looks much nicer than the QC35 IMO.

    • Damn thats crazy I bought the wired one from amazon for $300

I bought these last year - can confirm they are awesome. The battery lasts forever and whilst, as others have mentioned, the noise cancellation is not as good as Bose's, you also don't get a really obvious 'hissing' noise :)

    • Does it have ANC or just passive NC?

The hissing noise you will quickly tune out. It's only noticible when you first turn it on.

      • It's active - the only reason I notice it is that I will sometimes wear these in the office, no music, just noise-cancellation on to tune out background noise :)

Last month, get a EZX80 from Wireless 1. After three weeks use, ear hook broken. Claim the warranty, they replied physical damage not covered. Claim warranty directly to Sennheiser Australia, they told me that Ebay transaction record or Paypal receipt can not act as proof of purchase. So be careful if you order from Ebay. Or someone can correct me.

Get a proper invoice from wireless1 then use that for claiming with seinheiser.

Ebay invoices are never accepted by manufacturers.

  • I've been looking at some wireless headphones for a while and Sennheiser are confusing. There's the HD 4.50 which're NCing, circumaural, and Bluetooth. Then there's the Momentums, which I've heard the wired version of and admire (also NCing/circumaural/BT). Finally the PXC 550 which offer the same features as the others but there is no mention of any driver changes. I can assume PXC 550 are similar to the Momentum Wireless and both are better than HD 4.50s.

Can anyone fill me in? Because I've arrived at:
HD 4.50 Entry level, not as good sounding as the Momentums?
Momentums are the wireless HiFi model
PXC 550 Are the traveller's headphones for some reason.

Some JB Hifis have the models on display to listen to, I tried the PXC550s and thought the sound was average at best, the momentums however sounded way better - even more so than the QC35s I thought but maybe it also depends on the music source.

Not sure on the gap between the momentum wired and wireless in terms of sound quality.

      • Well it comes with a wire so you cant lose haha

  • Just tried, the code doesn't appear to work?

edit: apparently the code is actually C5OZ (the letter 'o') so the code seems to be wrong on here.

  • Very underrated deal that should have received more thumbs up, these cans are very expensive in comparison to most other retailers and they are arguably better than the Bose QC35s in everything but noise-cancelling from the feedback I have seen. Bought a pair today.

    • That's because NC is the only thing the QC35s are good at.
